Rhys was a major positive from the game - didn't do heaps but what he did was with aggression and purpose. Has a big future hopefully!

Stanley's development has been stymied by Lyin playing Kosi ahead of him. Watters needs to decide where he wants Stanley to play and then ensure that he is in the team every week. If this means that Kosi only gets limited game time then so be it.

In my opinion, Stanley should be our second ruck/full forward. Basically his job is to give Big Boy a chop out and to also kick 30 goals for the season. If he can do that then he has done his job. (I reckon he can).

He will need to get a kick at VFL level before he is even considered. Lucky to still be on the list IMO. As I have stated before I hope he proves me wrong. His size and athletic ability should help him. Lyon did the right thing not playing him because he didn't deserve a game.

This is his year. Show something Rhys. The side would benefit greatly if you do.

If he plays a couple of good games in the lead up to the season, I doubt they'll wait to see if he does it in the VFL before playing him in the seniors.

Senior games should be harder to achieve than that IMO. Again, he has a long way to go.

Apparently he's put in a huge pre-season and really impressed.

If he continues showing he's up to in the NAB games, I'm sure the coach won't hesitate in playing him.

Rhys's problem has always been Mac and Kosi - Whilst those two are in the team it's unlikely that he'll get a shot. He only got his chance really when Roo went down. Can you honestly see us playing 3 rucks? Or one of these guys filling another position?

Assuming he isnt going back at any stage, can we afford to have Mac, Kosi and Rhys in the same team?

That's the 6 million dollar question.

Which is why Rhys should be tried down back, similar to Ben Reid.

For me I would have Kosi in defence, see how he goes, with Rhys the 2nd ruckman.

Yes I will be at Wang for the game K. And the 50th went off very well thank you very much. Now we are looking forward to the next 50. I am determined to see another Saints Premiership.

I can't believe he is taller than Macca!
Has he grown more since last season?

If he gets his attitude sorted out he could be anything.

No he couldnt. For to long ive thought that because of his height and speed that he would turn into a gun. But the longer i have seen him play the more he shows not much apart from Running and Jumping.

so one of the quickest blokes in the league could only play at ff or in the ruck??
can kick it 50 meters but only can be lined up at ff or ruck?

cant play off a back flank??
has height (can spoil)
can run (fast)
can kick (50+)

yup ff or ruck only

Could be great on the wing. With Milera on the other. Fantastic.

More like 60m+. He seems to kick it 60 without any great effort, like the two the other night. Saw him kick one from 55, into the wind, in a VFL game, a year or two ago and it landed over the fence after going through for a goal.

Not good enough ant ground level to play on a flank or wing.....imagine him on a Gibbs, delidio or griffin... Or smart enough

Just need him to play ruck, key forward or a combo of the two.

Can see a scenario eventually where he takes the centre bounces, with his leap...and then moves forward with Ben then playing as follower till the next centre bounce. And when we play WCE this year I would like to see exactly that whenever Nic Nat is at the centre bounce

rhys is a ruck who can go fwd.
its cause for celebration! cant we be happy with his progress for 5 minutes? not sure why people feel the need to talk about weird things like wings and flanks.

Really liked his game. Something to build on. Still a work in progress. Would just love to see him in space more.
