A big thankyou to all those die hard fans who turned up to the game. The weather was just terrible and we the organizers have worked so hard to make it a great night
With all that happening my other half tells me that there will be an announcement made that Bombers have tried to land and couldn't, we all no the rest .
Thanks to the Saints for putting on a practice match ,they may not of benefited from it much but it was fantastic for us. It helped keep some of the crowd there
and we are so thankful .
As a board member of the Wang Magpies Footy Club and a Social Club Member of the Saints i will be writting a letter to thank them.
Our loss of income from this game will be huge
I hope the AFL reimburses the Magpies and the town for their sheer short sightedness for what happened! We had actually just got into town when the news said that the game was cancelled wasn't until we got back to Wodonga that we found out about the intra club!
The morning after an extremely disappointing evening the Wangaratta Magpies would like to commend everybody who worked tirelessly to host an event the whole town could enjoy and support.
For reasons out of the AFL & Essendon FC control they were not able to make it to our lovely town.
To the St Kilda Football Club you are a class act! Playing a practice match in those conditions and interacting with the crowd gave the people of Wangaratta plenty of enjoyment for the night and has won you many fans.

stairway I assume some of the food may be used for the SES etc who are in town and surrounds? Good luck
I am not sure what the go is with the food. It could be used for SES or frozen for future home games and we did share the catering with our local
Rivals the Rovers, which was interesting to say the least

Feed the SES.
Wonderful idea.
Better than trying to find space for all that stuff in freezers!
