I hope he stays in because this kid has a lot of great attributes. He's determined, courageous and has football smarts. He played well on both Rider and Hill, which suggests he can play taller than his height suggests ( he's 191 cm). One on one against Jack he lost out to him a couple of times because he's very strong one on one. Give him some more time to develop and he should improve. Anyone know how tall Maxy was?

He reminds me a lot of Dale Morris, he has little regard for his own safety, is quick, and sets up the play well. In all seriousness poor form should be the only reason he gets dropped. We need to plan for the future replacing him with Blake or Ralph is going backwards in my opinion.

I don't know how many times during the game I found myself muttering (as I'm prone to doing..) "great effort/play Simpkin.."

IF Blake gets in ahead of this kid now - notwithstanding another ruck crisis, then we are going backwards

Simpkin has a ton of heart and is a good player also, reads the game well. Should be a permanent fixture in the backline.

I saw neitz tear Maxy apart a few times, and I rate jack better than neitz and Macy had played more than 10 games
FFS some people are so negative and deluded to the whole point that players have to develop!
