Relive the Saints' best wins of 2012...

Who were the big improvers of 2012..?

Who could and should go..?

What does the future hold..?

Pretty fair summary, when you look at our wins we really just get a pass mark, apart from Sydney they look pretty average wins. the first Carlton win killed their season and the win over the bombers seemed to kill them off. So many went close but didn't fall our way, footy has an element of luck and the gods didn't smile on us in the close ones.

Nice summary.

Now that we can see the final ladder, it seems clear to me that the two biggest impact, season-defining matches were the losses to Freo and North, as a win in either of those matches would has caused an 8-point turnaround thereby leaving us in eighth place. Those two 15 minute final quarter fade-outs in those two matches were ultimately the difference between 7th and 9th.

Ouch they both hurt too. Especially because we had some drunk Freo bogan pulling his bum out of his pants and exposing half his genitals to the crowd while gyrating in front of us. The security and police didn't get rid of him all night despite plenty of complaints and then we had to lose it as well.

You should have let Ross know about it. He may have been able to get rid of those balls also

Quite simply aside from Lenny's 250th, Couldn't beat anyone who finished above us on the ladder = didn't desere to make the 8.

Concur

I actually think a soft draw has hidden a bit.... we were easily scored against this year, pressure at times from our mods was deplorable and they did not run hard enough the other way

I am a Laidly strategy convert.... would love a Leigh Tudor back at the club..

A lot here on SS seem to have the odd issue with them, but that's a tad harsh Teffers(?)
