what about Roberton?- Frankston original

Post: # 1270871Post saintbrat »

Docker Dylan Robertson departs
FREMANTLE defender Dylan Roberton has informed the Dockers he is seeking a trade to a Melbourne-based club.

Roberton, 21, has played 37 games with Freo, including 10 this season.

He was an emergency during Fremantle's 2012 finals campaign.

Originally from Frankston, and recruited from Dandenong under 18s, Roberton was pick No.49 in the 2009 national draft.

He wants to return home and his management company, Elite Sports Properties, is working with the Dockers to chase a trade back to Victoria.
never noted him does he have anything to offer us?

There is NO S in his surname...

Having said that, he's only been a bit player at Freo....

I think Sandy need some players, maybe he can sign with them...

191cm, 82kg - decent size for a midfielder, if that's actually what he is. I can't say as I remember ever seeing him play so no idea if he's much chop. Rookie list at best I'd imagine.

He's not a midfielder...

He's another tall, but not quite tall enough defender that we seem to have plenty of.

He would be our next whipping boy, looks like he should be fronting a band like Motor Ace... just imagine, Dylan Robertson gives to to Jack Stevens...

Nah, is relatively soft and while shows some good signs at times, can take a nice grab, he is just too slight and doesn't have much to offer over our depth players. Compared to Raph, I'd pick Raph every time... chances are Lyon will delist him and he said that to try to find a new home...

Went to school with Dylan,
Not a midfielder always played off the back flank and just ran all day.
Has amazing endurance and great skills either side of his body. Would be a good pick for any side.
Just like all young players, give him extended time in the side and he will thrive

It appears his schoolboy football traits aren't as obvious amongst the big boys, re adults...

Either that or Ross doesn't like "developing" players...and this dude needs some developing

Plays a bit like Farren Ray, in fact a lot like him. Is tough and can take a good mark. A lot lot worse than him

This kid is worth having a look at. Would like to come to the Saints and remember he is only 21 years old.
Good boy too.

He seems to be older than 21, seems to have been around for ages. A mate that's a Freo supporter rated him but really can't say he stands out in any way so far but is at a good age for an instant impact. Possibly worth a go if nothing better with a late pick that's unlikely to be used.

The Saints are hardly the model for player development...something Watters has identified and evidenced by the 10 strong development coaching structure.

This dude from Freo hasn't done anything other than help them be mediocre..

Still a spud...
