Time for a new banner? 2013 Sponsorship?

Post: # 1283573Post SainterK »

One of the players is already gone, and most other communities have launched their sponsorship drives already.

There will be a bit of traffic with the draft soon approaching?

I realise a lot of effort goes into these things though...

Moorabbin Saints, are you planning on doing the new banner?

I received the Sponsorship Information on Friday and will post the details during the next few days.
We have first right of refusal (until early December) on any of our existing players and/or any new draftees that are selected, so we have time to make our decisions.
The price for oall categories of players has gone up this season - our 2 remaining players will cost $1900 each for 2013. That makes it 95 shares per sponsored player. My suggestion is that we only nominate for 2 players initially as we didn't sell anywhere near enough for the 3 players we took in 2013. We can always add additional player(s) if we find we have the demand for it.

Moorabbin Saints has, in the past, kindly undertaken the task of producing the banner headline but normally this takes place after we've settled on our players.

Just curious but any sponsorship payment made to players, would they be subject to the cap or be required to be approved by AFL.

AFAIK the sponsorship money does not go directly to the player..its more of a incentive donation scheme to general Club revenue.

Great idea MM, start with the two and see how it goes...

If you're sure your up for it again that is, and I will still insist that your name is included in the raffles drawn this year...please!

Looking forward to voting on the players, I'd still like to continue with Jackson as he is so close to making it now.

Thanks MM!

Agree, but I reckon Markworth is closer than Ferg.

Not so impressed that the preseason function has been replaced with a movie night.
And the match-day is now a "VFL" matchday instead of AFL.

hmmm. not happy at all. They put the price up an extra $22 a month and replace all the events and memorabilia with s***.

Probably, but Markworth has the benefit of not having to push Sam Fisher out of the side ;)
