Pre - Season Routines- what's yours

Post: # 1291658Post saintbrat »

with memberships out early the expectation of awaiting the precious card has dimmed the anxiety for the season. Christmas is done
the cricket is moving to ODI mode and work begins again in the next few weeks

but are you enjoying the break- or just keen for it all to start again?
So here's a few cut-out-and-keep pointers that may just help your household to hit the footy season in peak condition.

PRE-SEASON (FAN) TRAINING
• Start watching replays of 2012 games - late January.
• First live glimpse of the "squad" - at a training session (January); intraclub match (usually early February); first NAB Cup game; or final practice match (mid-March).
• Fantasy football research - mid-February.

PRE-SEASON MILESTONES
• The St Kilda intra-club match, still held at Moorabbin Oval - date to be advised, but means a lot to sausage-deprived diehard Sainters.
• NAB Cup matches in regional areas. If the Bombers can make it so can you - Saturday March 2; Essendon v Richmond, Wangaratta, 5.10pm.
• The lightbulb moment when you spot the gun kid/unknown rookie/returning former star you reckon will start the season in great form despite not being
is Will Brodie a Saints supporter?

Fantasy Football research has been going and is a continuous source of goingness for me.

I need to get back to where I belong. In the top 1% of Dreamteamers but most importantly whipping Batnoe and Bardon Saint's candy-asses!

There's a preseason? Saintsational never sleeps! Nor do the Saints.

I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

Pre season for me and the rest of the Western Saints committee is:
looking at the fixture and planing what games to hold Western Saints functions
checking the supplies for said functions
discussing the plans for the year with the club
discussing the plans with the Inglewood
gathering info for the first newsletter for 2013
finding possible new members and letting them know about our group
updating the mailing list ...

by the time the NAB starts im on the edge of my seat to see some footy action ...
