Armo, possible captain?

Post: # 1302800Post 3rd generation saint »

I've really liked how Armo has really progressed from last year and he appears to me to have great leadership potential.
Just think he has earned the right to be considered as a possible future captain once Roo steps down.

He lifted when the game was on the line...I liked it, and leadership suits him.

Captain?

Not sure, may still be too much of a glamour boy ;)

Sat on the boundary near the interchange.

Was a good position to watch the work Armo does in close. Some of his physical work was very impressive, and his evasive skills reminded my of a bloke called Lenny.

Looks extremely fit and was playing the game like there was no tomorrow which was wonderful to see.

Very encouraged with his form. Having both Hickey and Mac rucking will also benefit him.

Lance or James??

This. If we can have an effective (or at least a break even) outcome in the ruck, it will make our mids look much better. They have had to work so much harder than some teams just to offset a massive opposition advantage in the ruck contests. If they can get the occasional "armchair" ride from the rucks they could run amok.

Plugger you have some real issues! And yes I believe Ray has some leadership qualities and I wouldnt be surprised at all if he ends up in the l/ship group in 2014. I only ever said Ray was a darkhorse for captain which translates to around a 5% chance or 20-1 shot. Id say armo is more like a 3-1 shot right now.

But as usual instead of discussing the issue at hand - you make a personal attack on someone from something someone said 12 months ago in an attempt to 'discredit' them.
And i dont even feel discredited. Ray stil a 20-1 shot at it.

How about for fairness sake if you are going to hold everyone to 'account' in your role as forum policeman - you start bringing up some of the early calls I made which have been correct? I can think of a few.

Is that all you have for us considering we played yesterday. At least Con has a thick skin. he wont make a personal attack and mine was a joke. i still have no idea why all these forum people who seem to hate a name called plugger66 wouldnt have that name on the foe list if it upsets them most times plugger66 posts. I may sound upset at some people when it gets personal but i can honestly say no one upsets me and there is no name i hate. maybe if i know the person it would be different but as I dont hate anyone i have ever met i doubt I would hate people her. Anyway thats why no one is on my foe list.

You just have to keep on going and you say I stalk you. Please stop it and it isnt for my sake. I can handle any rubbish you put on me because I dont respect you but stop for the sake of others. Of course you wont though. And you love mentioning how disliked I am. If it came from someone who was respected like Sainter K then it may carry some weight but coming from a you it is a grain of salt. And which post are you actually talking about and as I am dumb can you explain the contradiction. You wont if its to hard because that is your MO.

Armitage is always very animated at huddles, gives a lot of directions and listens intently.

He hits the contest so hard, it sets the right example.

I think he is more advanced than Ben

Thinking about it i think Armo is probably in front of Ben as Captain if they were the choices.

I think you're right, Ben has admitted he's a distance off when competing with the big boys... He's still a developing Ruckman, with inside club competition.... So he's still got a way to go...

Armitage is soon to become our No1 Midfielder

BTW.... I am loving your new technique, should have done it years ago??

Thought about it again. No Ben will be the next Captain but Armo is going very well.
