Laidley to Carlton?

Re: Laidley to Carlton?
Laidley knew his stuff... But assistances shouldn't have a huge shelf life anyway....
Would like a senior assistant and a fresh assistant to come in....
Damien Carroll should also be looked at... He lives not far from Seaford and is a terrific developer...

Whether this is true or not we only have Caro's word for itstinger wrote: the coach has received at least two recent warnings in the past few weeks in relation to his job parameters.
BUT
Who the F*** inside the club is releasing this information - whether true or false - to her??
Surely if Watters has received warnings then these would have been issued in a closed meeting
Or is Caro taking a wild stab in the dark??
The Devil makes work for idle hands!!!
Re: Laidley to Carlton?
Sounds like the warnings you get before you get sacked for incompetence! Hopefully that is not the case!Devilhead wrote:Whether this is true or not we only have Caro's word for itstinger wrote: the coach has received at least two recent warnings in the past few weeks in relation to his job parameters.

A bit of a concern if someone is leaking the 'warnings' I agree.

Did Ross Lyon leave a hearing device in his old office down at Seaford? Might need to sweep the joint...AD might be able to help us on that scoreCon Gorozidis wrote:A bit of a concern if someone is leaking the 'warnings' I agree.

Re: Laidley to Carlton?
Dean Laidley's strength is in his ability to read a game from the box. Wherever he's coached he has always had responsibility for rotations and key moves. We may be able to recruit another highly skilled midfield coach but we won't do quite as well for game day vision and talent.

Don't mind it myself, but nothing to suggest Fred can actually coach anyway.plugger66 wrote:Zed wrote:still wish we had made a play for Basset

I'm glad the Junkyard Dog's gone. Must be better out there.
I'd prefer Fred Bassett to Andy Capp, that's for sure.

Wowza!
The leaks could be coming from anyone. I'm imagining my own workplace. When people are unhappy, they're more than eager to talk!

Re: Laidley to Carlton?
Someone had previously posted that the club wanted to move Laidley on, but Watters was insisting that he stay. Could this be central to Watters and Pelchen's reported tension? In my view, Laidley is one of the most overrated people in football. Does anyone remember his shameful behaviour when Matthew Crapuano was given the flick under Thomas's reign? He's not called the junkyard dog for nothing. I put him in the Mark Harvey category, and I won't go into what I think of Mark Harvey, but you might be able to work it out.

Re: Laidley to Carlton?
I've been amused by people calling him "Junkyard Dog" for a long time. The term Junkyard Dog implies he is mean & nasty. Someone must have forgotten to tell a 15 year old kid that at a caravan park in Moama a few years back !!Austinnn wrote:I'm glad the Junkyard Dog's gone. Must be better out there.

NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!
