Sorry - not the new Buddy - The new Kosi!
Have to say it - Spencer looks a lot fitter/afl ready this year than this time last year....
He looked like an awkward giraffe 12 months ago - now he looks like an AFL footballer. I almost feel sorry for those hapless VFL defenders!

Let's hope he's more Stewie than Kosi, or for that matter more Stephen Theodore!Con Gorozidis wrote:Spencer gone with with the 'New Buddy' number!

Not sure Loewe or Theodore won too many rising star awards.Bernard Shakey wrote:Let's hope he's more Stewie than Kosi, or for that matter more Stephen Theodore!Con Gorozidis wrote:Spencer gone with with the 'New Buddy' number!

Re: New Jumper Numbers Awarded
Savage #5 - I can defiantly see why they chose to give the famous number to an established player. He did ask for it and I hope he will play a ton of great games in it for us
Billings #15 - A pretty well known number that has bounced around a little bit over the last few years. Good choice and going to be great to see it on the field a lot.
Longer #18 - Another famous one. Showing a good amount of faith in Billy to hand him the number
Delaney #21 - Interesting one seeing as the #15 he wore at North was available but its a good number and im sure he'll wear it with distinction and pride
White #23 - Initially I thought it was an odd choice to move from a great number to a higher one that is equally as great but I know now that Kosi bestowed it on him. Can't wait to see Spence dominate in it
Curran #26 - As with #5 it's a good decision to give this number to a bloke who has some experience. Curran should play some great footy in this number
Bruce #27 - Young player wearing another famous number, great to see it go to a key back.
Dunstan #36 - Interesting decision to give such a high number to a first round pick. However it will give him the chance to put his stamp on it. Good choice
Acres #40 - see above
Templeton #43 - As he is a rookie he was probably given the first available number after the new boys. Possible chance to upgrade if he gets upgraded.
Weller - #44 - Good decision to give a recently famous number to Weller. IMHO he will probably be upgraded at the first opportunity. Hopefully he'll play some great games in the #44
Holmes #45/ Baker-Thomas #46 - International rookies who got first available numbers. No story here
Overall I personally might have allocated the numbers differently but I'm happy with the new numbers

By that it seems that all numbers at the club are famous...
But serious question - if we had to rank numbers in priority of history what would the top ten look like?
4 prob number 1?

Re: New Jumper Numbers Awarded
I'm really happy with Wellers attitude since coming over. The guy can play it was only ever his attitude that was questioned. Sounds like they gave him a kick up the bum and so far he's been really respectful of the club and looks like he has the right attitude. Hope his career is as good as Milney's. Dunstan is a lovely size for a kid he could play day one.

Something combining Kosi’s ability with Stewie’s strength, consistency and durability would do me.skeptic wrote:Nothing against Kosi, but lets hope that White plays to a Stewart Loewe standard

Re: New Jumper Numbers Awarded
I'm not having a go but I reckon it's worth asking ourselves how many people do you know that have had a fractured skull and returned to the field at elite level. There was a thread recently that discussed the definition of toughness, well I submit one Kosi as your prime definition.Buckets and Kosi share the same air space at the club IMO and if Spencer can come close to either of their records then you would have to be more than happy with that.skeptic wrote:Nothing against Kosi, but lets hope that White plays to a Stewart Loewe standard
