A pass
Undermanned, kicked poorly on goal, shocking umpiring, yet competitive, clearly a pass today. We need to see more of these efforts. Finally some positives out of this game. Billings excellent game. Lesser likes played a role. Now we need to back this up at least 2 out of 3 weeks, not once a half every 6 weeks like since round 5.
I liked today, at least there was something .

Re: A pass
Agree. Billings an obvious positive. Newnes, Webster. Even Lee showed a bit.
It shows how far we've fallen though to give a pass for a five-goal defeat.

It does indeed - better than last week when people were saying that at least we avoided being beaten by 100+ pointsbigcarl wrote:Agree. Billings an obvious positive. Newnes, Webster. Even Lee showed a bit.

Re: A pass
Much greater effort, but shouldn't that be expected? IMO our forward line is still dysfuntional, and so I couldn't possibly be happy with that. After Stanley and Maister's failures to make an impact this year, after many chances over several seasons, I believe that Milera's inadequacies with regard to his marking, and Lee's inept goalkicking which more often than not sees him finish games with doughnuts, should see all four delisted at season's end. Due to the issues we have with injuries I would like to see Markworth given an opportunity.

Just got home, still not over the umpiring, but lots to smile about. Effort and (for the most part) accurate kicking. And actually taking marks. Everywhere!
Billings and Mav super, Tommy Simpkin had a cracking first half, fantastic to see Minchi zooming about and kick one, Savage (save for one kick) showed why he should be part of our future, even CJ.
FFS, CJ KICKED TWO GOALS. Good on him.
Bring on the Tiges!

Re: A pass
I forgot Delaney. He was really good, especially in the first half. Big effort, big tick.
Seems to run out of steam at the end, but the basics are there and getting better.

Re: A pass
The smaller ground really suits us and our pressure was fantastic virtually all game. WC are pretty average with a lot of talls and not much run so couldn't carve us up on the outside like other teams. A really good team effort. There were few weak links out there.
