I found out that Brian Gleeson's grand kid goes to my kids school on Friday. I looked him up as I remembered he was a brownlow medalist but he was gone at 22 or something. Pretty sad story.

He was a good footballer, and he played both ends of the ground, a not so common feat in that era.

Had Hudson and quite a few other forwards and backs looking over their shoulder, one tough hombre

I was in the St Kilda Cheer Squad when Cowboy asked us to make the Grand Final banner for Ainslie FC -
and he invited us up to Canberra he made us all very welcome and included us in the winning celebrations.
Somehow we drove back to Melbourne after the celebrations.

He is just a great bloke.
