ST KILDA has elevated rookies Ahmed Saad, Jack Sinclair and Adam Schneider to the club’s senior list ahead of Sunday’s clash with GWS.
The upgrades were made possible after Arryn Siposs (shoulder), Daniel Markworth (shoulder) and Seb Ross (hamstring) were placed on the long-term injury list last week.
Saad has replaced Markworth on the primary list, Schneider for Siposs and Sinclair has replaced Ross.
Ross is a week away from availability. Siposs and Markworth each a couple of weeks.
Surely having to demote Sinclair is completely counter productive.
"Now the ball is loose, it gives St. Kilda a rough chance. Black. Good handpass. Voss. Schwarze now, the defender, can run and from a long way".....
It is a "moment in time" thing in that it looks congested for spots on the list now but likelihood is that will change over the season.
I don't particularly like the idea of demoting Sinclair either.
Ahead of round 7 versus Adelaide
Seb Ross 1 week = Jack Sinclair
Arryn Siposs 5 weeks = Adam Schneider
Daniel Markworth 3 weeks = Ahmed Saad
I don't know that the players can be swapped.
If they could then Saad would drop down first when Ross becomes available and then probably Schneider when Markworth is available.
Schneider may be the better player at this stage but he should not get in the road of Sinclair's development.
The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Said this previously. Firstly it will depend on form and secondly the Saints form will also come into it. Based on form at the moment it will be very close between Sinclair and Schneider. In a few weeks time many things can change. I would suggest if the Saints are going well then maybe Schneider will keep his upgrade the longest. Then after round 11 there is a permanent upgrade. That's when real decisions will have to be made.
It's a good problem to have for a bottom side. Absolutely loving the footy this year with all these kids to watch. Sandy is just as much fun too and would highly recommend getting down to the beach rd oval to watch the kids run around. If the weather closes in, upstairs, behind the glass, with full strength beer in glass pots. Perfect.
Won't be a tragedy if Sinclair has to go back to Sandy from round 7 until a permanent upgrade in round 11. Will help develop his midfield game and will open up a spot for Ross/Eli/Minch etc.

Saad surely at the bottom of the pecking order.
That is actually a decent way to look at it.
