Some of the issue is that big Paddy Mac can't cover the ground that well and doesn't turn well at the moment. So he does make us less mobile and dynamic up forward when hes' in with Brucey and Members. That can mean the oppo can rebound well from the back. But this is Hawkins all over. The big units take time and their long term design is based around being a huge, pack splitting, defender crashing central point in a grand final where there isn't an inch of space.

Hawkins helped Cats win grand finals. Who gives a s*** if we lose a game or two while big Paddy is being developed. Long term vision people. Keep your eye on the prize.

Forward line looked great in the first half. Paddy had jelly legs in the second half which is expected. Lost the plot in the second half because the guys got absolutely smashed around the footy. All 4 should play this week against the tigers because there's no way Rance will be able to get across and cover them all.

As i remember richo did say earlier in the year there will be down games from that forward line trio. We need them to play together as much as possible at this stage. develop some chemistry and learn from better defenders and how to beat them.
Personally id be resting Hickey and potentially sending armo off for whatever surgery he needs. Bring in Longer, Eli and Webster and start trying Billings, Acres, Gresham in more expansive roles.
