really want murdoch and eli to stay, not sure how we can do it though. think murdoch has heaps of potential.

Can't see how we can keep them as everyone other than those 4 players are under contract.
If we were going to move a contracted player it would have been by trading him.

Honestly I'm unsure as to what we are doing with Holmes? Is it marketing related? Is it a potential future trade? What is his value to the club?

It's understood utility Cameron Shenton was informed on Tuesday that he would not be offered a contract for 2017.

That generally means that the player has told friends who told who told who told the media.
But it is yet to be announced by the club.
They wanted today's news to be about Holmes re-signing and LIndsay Gilbee being appointed Sandringham coach.

The delistings can be expected to be announced together later this week.

I share your curiosity about Holmes. Good tap ruckman, currently offers not much else.

It is a cruel business. We very much focus on the stars but for guys like Shenton - clearly a very very good footballer at all levels outside the AFL it is tough. He is kind of any in-betweener in size and position Throw him to the SANFL or VFL and he is a star who can dominate both fwd or back.

Can I suggest this is the reason why the club likes Holmes so much:
