About time McCartin started getting selfish and kick some goals. He wasn't recruited as a midfielder.

Thanks for posting !
We kicked a goal from a 50 metre penalty in the third quarter , the commentators said " this will be for nine points " .
We were only paid six .
Three points would have drawn the game .
Does anyone know why a nine pointer wasn't paid ? or did I miss the explanation in the coverage .

The umpire offered our player the ability to kick for 9 points. To achieve this the player still had to kick from outside the 50m arc. He opted to take the more certain closer shot on goal.mr six o'clock wrote:Thanks for posting !

In previous years that counted as a 9 pointer.saintsRrising wrote:The umpire offered our player the ability to kick for 9 points. To achieve this the player still had to kick from outside the 50m arc. He opted to take the more certain closer shot on goal.mr six o'clock wrote:Thanks for posting !

Could be wrong, but I believe it was changed at least a year or two ago. I thought they talked about it on the commentary, saying the coach wouldn't be happy if they elected to try for 9 when they could take the easier 6.magnifisaint wrote:In previous years that counted as a 9 pointer.saintsRrising wrote:The umpire offered our player the ability to kick for 9 points. Makes you wonder why they still have the supergoal , when teams are playing for no reward .
