Could be way off here but was there not a game in the mid 2000s where we had a huge qtr against North Melbourne at Etihad? We kicked something like 13 goals straight during the game but I don't think they were all in one quarter..i feel like it was earlyish 2000s when G-train was dominating..

Against Dees at G in 1978. We were 19.12 at half time , on the way to club record 31.18 . As with Saturday night, we got outscored in the second half to "only" win by 63. Extraordinary game - they kicked 21.15.

On Round 10 of 2004, we were up 19.9.120 to Carton's 5.3.33 at half time. Kicked 12 goals in the second quarter.

Slammed on another 12 goals in the second half of the match to end up winning by 108 points.

I guess it was a big game in that we were going for the biggest winning streak (of the time) in the club's history.

2003. I remember it well. It was the game where Gehrig announced himself as full forward and we blew North out of the water in the first quarter only for them to come back and hit the front with a minute or two to go. Kick out of the backline found Robert Harvey unchecked in the middle and he dropped the ball on Fraser's chest who sealed the game.

IIRC a certain off-field incident a few days later ended the career of Stevie Lawrence

What was Melbourne's score at half time?

This game against the Crows in 2011 was special.

http://afltables.com/afl/stats/games/20 ... 10722.html

Excellent in every quarter. We kept Adelaide to 24 points while we scored 31-33 points every quarter.

I loved that game
Actually got a bit misty eyed at half time.
To see Carlton supporters leaving in there droves was a sight to behold. I had seen opposition supporters leaving at 3/4time before but never at half time.
I knew good times were ahead

Thanks Skeptic, it's all coming back to me now! So many great games in 2003, I'd love to watch a few of these games again. The game we beat the Lions in a thriller comes to mind first.
