A well coached team doesn't kick 3.12. to 3/4 time
Think of me long enough to make a memory.

Re: A well coached team
But a well coached team can kick 5.1 in the final quarter when it counts. the boys tried their guts out today.
Was a perfect tap, and a class goal that killed us.

Re: A well coached team
A well coached team does not go at 28% Inside 50 Efficiency.
It's just mind numbing how idiotic this strategy is.

Re: A well coached team
We shouldn't have been in that position. We should have kicked straight. But let's face it, our team hasn't been in that position. We either win well or lose by a street. Do you think those last 2 goals would have happened with Roo and Monty in? Lack of experience in those last minutes; nothing the coach could do IMO

Every week the same stuff on here.St Loxton wrote:But a well coached team can kick 5.1 in the final quarter when it counts. the boys tried their guts out today.

The opposition was great and it was an honourable loss.
News flash. This is the AFL. Not some under 12s league.
The opposition is always good. There are no honourable losses.

A perfect tap and a class goal that a well coached team would not have permitted

this. Even the commentators pointed it out. Our forward line is dysfunctional. No one is leading. Hamill needs to go.Johnny Member wrote:A well coached team does not go at 28% Inside 50 Efficiency.

Re: A well coached team
That was simply awful. What a hard club to support. They kick away another game and in doing so finals.
How do we not man up on Gray at the end? He's the one guy that can do what he did. Obvious. Embarrassing.
Unfortunately we have the lowest football IQ as a team in the comp. I am not sure who is to blame for that but Richo might need to have a good think about things. How many times can a side kick the ball to the same spot? Such a disappointing way to lose....just when you think they can't make it any worse they do.

Match committee has a lot to answer for as usual.
Why in God's name is Lonie still the side? And Weller?

Two kicks up with two minutes on the clock and the umpires were doing everything in their power to help us over the line. Says it all.
Bad management is bad management

Re: A well coached team
Players have got to get smarter - it was obvious their only way out was out the back at that last ruck contest - we should have had two players there to stop that Gray play
Hell of a tap to a hell of a player - but it should never been allowed to happen - the room out the back of that contest was criminal

Although you can't criticise Weller on here. He is as good as Leigh Matthews according to some. Anyone who criticises him has no idea about footy.

In the last few minutes lacked on-field smarts, they shouldn't have needed the coach to tell them that.
I know we are not a top 4 team yet, we do lack midfield class.
We had a good old crack today, the players knew this was our last chance.
We are showing great signs at times, still rebuilding and on an upward trend.
To me 2018 was our year to make finals.
I do think our coach is the man for the job.
I am a frustrated Sainter too, OUR TIME IS COMING!!

Re: A well coached team
The team plays according to what the coach and assistants lay down to them- unfortunately it is a big mess, and those guys can play better footy than they are showing..a wasted year. Don't expect much to change under this plodder of a coach.
