The Outer Wing
I can assure you, they were influenced by that support in the last 5 mins. First time I’ve heard the players comment on the lift you gave them. Well done.

Didn't influence the #@%& umps!

Why didn't Gilbert have the correct boots on T74?

Think he did. Vision shows him lifting his foot at half time to prove to the coach that he had correct soles.

Commentators were joking that he was scared to talk to the coach at half time.

Re: The Outer Wing
There were about 14750 Saints there today and I was proud to be (four) of them.
If you don’t think our supporters have passion, I defy anyone to match the noise that bled out in the final few minutes. You’d have thought there were double the number.
I know there are many reasons why people can’t make it week to week, but the prospect of being belted shouldn’t be one of them.
Keep the faith Sainters.

And I can assure you tony74 that all of the St. Kilda barrackers that were there thoroughly appreciated the efforts of the players. Make no bones about it, the barrackers giving the players the standing ovation at the end of the game wasn't because we were satisfied with a draw, but that we were rapt with the spirit and the effort.tony74 wrote:I can assure you, they were influenced by that support in the last 5 mins. I had a feeling we would turn up today and I wasn't disappointed. The effort and inroads the team made today must culminate with a victory against Hawthorn in Tasmania next week. I think we'll get it too.
Your friendly neighbourhood samurai.

Re: The Outer Wing
15k that after recent weeks you know they will be the most passionate supporters of them all
Gehrig emerged from scans yesterday saying he was "as sweet as a bun"
Re: The Outer Wing
I made the trip from Bairnsdale and I'm glad I did. The atmosphere was incredible considering the small crowd. I've heard crowds of 30k make less noise than what I heard in the last quarter today. What a change from the shitty atmospheres of the first three games at Etihad, including the win over Brisbane. Mark McLure tipped the saints were going to be up today. Brad Sewell even tipped us! You could hear their disappointment after the game when we only got half of the chocolates.

Re: The Outer Wing
I'm usually up on level 3 and I would have been yelling my guts out had I been there today.
Unfortunately, I was preoccupied with my guts doing something else and I couldn't trust it being away from home for 10 hours.
