Pepper Money
Was disappointed to hear them named in the royal commission last night -
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-04-26/f ... ay/9700318
Although reading this more carefully now, it looks like they did the right thing (if you can ever believe a banker!)
Got an email from the club straight after this was on and thought it was going to be some sort of statement distancing us from them - but we're still promoting them and apparently without making any comment about it at all.
Certainly hope nobody on here has been caught out.

Re: Pepper Money
On face value here it would appear they did the right thing....perhaps.
Who knows really? Some of the things coming out of this royal commission are appalling.

hard to argue with that logic, though I must admit to have felt distinctly uncomfortable when hearing the initial story.outside66 wrote:Ah well, they're all crooks and as long as they are giving us money then play on. NAB is one of the worst and guess who they sponsor?

Re: Pepper Money
Banks don't care and don't do the due diligence as long as the loan is supported by an asset.
This attitude has been in existence since banks commenced.
The onus remains with the borrower to ensure they can meet their repayments.
Compared to their financial planning brothers and sisters, the bank lenders are humanitarians.

Yes they're regular Mother Theresa's....they offer people with poor credit who can't get bank loans high interest loans...so they profit from peoples suffering and we get a piece of the pie! F@#k the battlers! Bring on the sponsorship!

Re: Pepper Money
How about a payday loan to buy 15 goals. if the club then backs itself at $3 it can probably get 4 points and pay off the loan and start again.
