Brandon White - the one player who can actually hit a target
Gets dropped... ?
"Son, we realise that you can actually kick the ball properly and so we'll need to drop you to the 2's to try and dent your confidence. We can't have any elite ball use in our team"
Was that the discussion he had with the coach last night?
Seriously? The kid kicks the ball like a laser and hits a chest every time.
That is something absolutely rare with our current squad.
What's the deal?

Ask Richo and the assistants plus the selection committee, but you won't get an answer.
Call me crazy, but the above work with the squad every day so I guess they have their reasons in who they pick every week which they will never share publicly with us. But they do make mistakes and have admitted to them like not playing Dunstan from Rd 1.
White will be a good player in any case. He's only in his 3rd year so he has alot of good footy ahead of him. Maybe he's a bit sore at the moment...who knows. Maybe Tony74 can shed some light on it.

If we were sitting at the top half of the ladder I would trust the selection process. Unfortunately that trust is gone.

Maybe the coaches are f****** idiots?
It was only White's 10th game and he had a career high 20 disposals, can actually hit a 50 metre target by foot.
He is exactly the kind of player we need to be getting to 50+ games, but it will take 10 years at this rate…
Can't wait for Browns 2 marks and 2 kicks to really drive us forward tomorrow night on the way to buddy kicking 5 anyway.

Weller in, Lonie in, White out????
Draft picks is the only reason I can think of.

White hasn't been anywhere near as good this year. Hasn't looked like the sure bet he has looked previously.
Thought he was really good against GWS, and last week was pretty good, but I don't think he's locked in a spot just yet. He looked sore a couple of times last week though, he might still be suffering from his corkie against the Tigers.
Nothing to worry about, he's 21 and will play plenty of AFL footy for the Saints. But we probably shouldn't get the torches and pitchforks just yet because he's been dropped.

Weller in; Lonie in. Special stuff as usual from Coach Beige. And then decides to drop Billings a month too late and when he's started to find the footy a bit. Richo is clearly trying to get himself sacked with his completely bizarre selection policies. I have no sympathy for whatever outcome is beset upon him from hereon in. He's not helping his own cause.
White should be playing on a wing or actually - anywhere on the ground where hitting a target by foot is important. For some reason - White is the first one dropped each and every time a change needs to be made.

I think there should be quite extensive in and outs/experimentation for the rest of the year. I mean if you are going to finish bottom 6 you may as well finish bottom 3 - better draft pick in a good draft.
Having said that I would rather White in, Lonie is probably in because Billiings is out.

I wonder how many touches Lonie got last week, compared to White.takeaway wrote: ↑Fri 08 Jun 2018 4:29pm I think there should be quite extensive in and outs/experimentation for the rest of the year. Lonie should be dropped, because he is less productive than White, and because of his concussion.
I know his 2 kicks after his big hit, were just atrocious, but I can put that down to the after-effects
of the hit.
But White is laser-precise, and Lonie is not, so White should be in, not Lonie.

Absolute stinker of a decision
Other changes I’m good with but white being dropped is an absolute howler
