Wrong!
Forgot about Joyce, fair enough, did he play though????? ;)
Joyce? Well playing in a position where most players win few disposals he still managed to rack up more disposals than an older and more experienced team mate who spent the whole match in the heat of the action.

So you must mean the other guy who had a terrible game and whose direct opponent was the oppositions best player.

From this game?

A better game plan gives us a chance.

An opponent that fails to apply a lot of pressure gives us a real chance.

We have some promising young players.

Gresh once he stops trying to do the flashy things every time is going to be an elite player of the comp (this will come with experience).

Just add 2 elite players and keep improving that gameplan and we will be competitive in 2019+

Seriously Stoney, Gawn has one of the great rucking games, was BOG in a losing team! 39 hitouts, 25 touches, 7 intercept marks, 8 score involvements, and 350+ meters gained! Compared to Longer’s 26 hitouts, 8 disposals at 50%, and 50 meters gained. An absolute smashing by any measurement you want!

We won in spite of Longer! Luckily we had someone in the 2s who got 59 hitouts and 35 touches to slide right back in! ;)

Hickledik has found he's place!!!!!

If he played yesterday, Melbourne win, simple, Tom is a good outside midfielder, too bad he has no pace though!!!!!

No pace? As opposed to Billy “Usain Bolt” Longer?! Hickey would have done no worse in the ruck than Longer’s pitiful performance, and would have contributed around the ground. The only way Longer could get a touch was if the ball somehow came close to the spot he just happened to be standing at the time.

FOUR effective disposals for a player who plays on the ball is not AFL standard, no where near!

We learned that if we play a team that absolutely can not score a single point in the last quarter (Suns) or play a decent team sliding backwards quick we just might win by 1 or 2 points if we play our best.

Our midfield is normally appalling defensively made worse by the frequency of turnovers forcing them chase to catch up to their opponents.
But Melbourne's midfield refused to chase and our guys decided not to turnover.

LOL. Me fickle? Back on the forum after a win? I still watched this weeks game despite being in Sweden.

I remember from the outer watching the Saints get done by over a hundred points two weeks in a row, and still went the next week where we got done by over a hundred points again.

Only time I have ever left a match early was due to a mate's wedding. And I am still "Not happy Jan..." about him organising his wedding on am AFL match day!

Richo's gameplan is better suited to the wide open spaces of the MCG, but sadly, we only get two games on the ground per year :(
