But ...
Essendon inducted him in their HoF this week.
They regard him as some sort of icon.

But this bloke was a total complete and utter disgrace.
As club doctor he was primarily responsible for the welfare of his players.

The initial support that he and Hird gave to the program was the only reason the players accepted it.
Yet he stood by and allowed his players to be repeatedly injected with unknown substances.
He claimed he later sent one email to the board expressing some misgivings but never followed up.
Nor did he question what was happening.
He is the Jenny Mikakos of club doctors.

He failed to monitor what was happening.
He failed his prime duty.
He failed his profession.
He failed his players.

You have been way to kind to the quack.
He failed to keep medical records or he deliberately destroyed them.
He should have been deregistered as a doctor by the Department of Health for that alone.

He should have been de-registered
I recall that Joe Danaher was with the players training during Essendope... even though he was about 17 .
The club stated he wasn’t injected ( because of his age and was not tested for drugs. The AFL did not investigate.Nothing to see here
I’ve wondered ever since wether he was part of the drug program and this is why he has wanted to leave basically since they drafted him?

I guess the point I am trying to make is that Piss'n'dung seem to have learnt nothing from their drugs scandal.

They had three options
1) The please forgive us approach.
Publicly condemn the architects most notably Hird who organised it and the Dirty Doc whose initial endorsement legitimised it in the eyes of the players who looked to Reid for his advice.
2) Let's try to forget it approach.
Quietly move on trying to erase the whole episode from their history and hope everyone soon forgets.

But instead the arrogant SCUM have gone with
3) We are misunderstood heroes approach.
By publicly honouring the evil architects.
Putting the compromised Doc in their HoF shows that they absolutely and totally still don't even comprehend the enormity of their mistakes.
