I agree but even with them playing most games we are still pretty s*** yep we could get shitter with out them but we need to start somewhere. IMO I think Dunstan & Billings will go I think Ross will stay but I'm not sure it makes us a better team . All free agents so we will have to wait & see how much the club want them to stay or how much the players want to go

Re: Billings out
Sebby - replaceable
Billings - replaceable
Dunny - replaceable ...but not sure we'll find someone as tough
Wish them all well if they decide to leave
Can we throw in Hill with Sebby ( or with Dunny) and maybe get some young mids from the Gold Coast

Re: Billings out
We did not miss Billings at all.
Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

For sure, if he doesn't want to take a pay cut, he's not the right guy for the club. Having said that, I hope he does and he stays.

Hard to say as he has probably been playing injured this year.

Re: Billings out
Has been playing injured since the bye
People seem to forget that before the bye, he was excellent
Still top 5 in the SS player of the year award
Despite not playing well since r12
My opinion FWIW
he is worth around pick 10-12
More than the pick 20+ we will actually get

I know there is a long way to go and it's only a very small sample size but does Cooper replace Jack?B.M wrote: ↑Sun 08 Aug 2021 8:13pm Has been playing injured since the bye

Re: Billings out
Not the same type of player
Sharman is a hit up marking forward, the other a wingman HF
Another question would be
Does Sharman replace Battle?
Does Byrnes replace Billings?
Possibly to the first one, a no from me to the second

Re: Billings out
Whe did you last check our injury list Firey? They are genuine injuries, not just niggles that every player battles through. I'd suggest JB's niggle has been a bit more serious but our circumstances dictate he plays for us to remain competitive. The Fireman wrote: ↑Mon 09 Aug 2021 2:05pm people keep saying he is playing injured..so the club plays injured players ????????
And, naturally, no opposition player ever gets tasked to shut him down! If many forumites are to be believed JB must just stand alone on the boundary line hoping the play does not come near him.

Re: Billings out
Trade whisperer (not overly reliable) suggested Saints have table a 350-450k 2yr offer as take it or leave it Jack
Port and Nth apparently at 3 x 550-600
Interesting how this plays out or if this is just Saints calling their bluff to then back up and trade
Port first pick is 15 - 17 after academy choices taken into account

Re: Billings out
Suggests the premium for having to live in Sth Aust is quite high, and to have to do that for three years! Jack its not worth it after tax and removal costs.

Re: Billings out
He would actually save money living in The City of Churches, as it's supposedly the most boring city in the Southern Hemisphere.
Nothing to do, no nightlife, just stay at home at night and play Fortnite or Halo.
As for the Pie Floater, I ain't never had one, but a pie surrounded by peas and gravy sounds quite palatable, I wouldn't knock it haha
A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤ and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.

Re: Billings out
I think your parenthesis speaks volumes Teflon.
(not overly reliable) - in relation to the Trade source.
He's a RFA, if that's all we are offering & what he's being offered elsewhere. Then late 2nd round or 3rd round is our compo, that's being generous.
Who knows which satanic ritual they use in 2021 to determine worth?

Re: Billings out
IMO still a required player & a 2 or 3 year contract for around the $500,00 a year mark would be a generous offer IMO. Weather he would accept this type of offer or if another club would willing to pay more I have no idea . I hope he stays but as I have said before I've got a feeling he won't. I guess we will see pretty soon
