Might Chris Scott retire?
If Geelong bomb out?
I mean, he’s pretty open about the stress and misery of it all.

Cat's looked spent last night, their veterans were too slow and their young guys lack talent. I'd say they're already cooked.

On twitter, Dalhaus is copping it from salty Cats fans, plus happy Dogs fans- the latter saying 'told ya he was useless' etc

As I said in another thread, the pussies aren't that good. No Stewart, no cats.

Re: Might Chris Scott retire?
I'd be interested to know how Cats fans remember Scott. He was handed a Premiership side which duly saluted in 2011. He's got every player he's wanted within a salary cap that's extremely stretchable. Government funded, AFL stadium quality facilities, encapsulating a huge home ground advantage. Yet still only that gift wrapped 2011 flag.

Saw some stats on the pussies last night. Finals every year from 2012 but have only won one final in the first round of finals, losing 8,
Maybe they should be renamed the chokers.

Re: Might Chris Scott retire?
Chris Scott is the most successful coach of our generation for home and away. 236 games higher than 71% win/loss. Finals 39%. Total, 69%. That’s notable. So is the unique situation Geelong finds itself in. A county town of its own. Flags and finals seem to be big in criterion for success in our game. You’d have to argue his brother Brad was a pretty good coach for North. They were always decent. But he won’t be judged like Chris. Different kettle of fish.

Both were filthy dogs on the footy field but Chris who tried to maim Rooey when he had a broken collarbone and eye gouged Bakes, was the bigger prick of the two.shanegrambeau wrote: ↑Sat 28 Aug 2021 4:16pm Chris Scott is the most successful coach of our generation for home and away. 236 games higher than 71% win/loss. Decent is not a word that I can associate with either of those two.

the Scott Brothers weren't nicknamed the Kray Brothers because they were good blokes, it's allegedly because they are thugs dressed in club colours.saynta wrote: ↑Sat 28 Aug 2021 5:06pmBoth were filthy dogs on the footy field but Chris who tried to maim Rooey when he had a broken collarbone and eye gouged Bakes, was the bigger prick of the two.shanegrambeau wrote: ↑Sat 28 Aug 2021 4:16pm Chris Scott is the most successful coach of our generation for home and away. 236 games higher than 71% win/loss. The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

As long as either of them do not end up with us in any capacity.Wayne42 wrote: ↑Sat 28 Aug 2021 5:50pmthe Scott Brothers weren't nicknamed the Kray Brothers because they were good blokes, it's allegedly because they are thugs dressed in club colours.saynta wrote: ↑Sat 28 Aug 2021 5:06pmBoth were filthy dogs on the footy field but Chris who tried to maim Rooey when he had a broken collarbone and eye gouged Bakes, was the bigger prick of the two.shanegrambeau wrote: ↑Sat 28 Aug 2021 4:16pm Chris Scott is the most successful coach of our generation for home and away. 236 games higher than 71% win/loss. Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

They keep topping their list up with free agents every year.
I think that we'll may run dry for them and they have 10 players who are 30+.
Surely it's coming to an end.

Sounds like us...we have to give ourselves a chance to recruit youth and develop into a grade players.Bruce G McAbee wrote: ↑Sat 28 Aug 2021 6:18pm They keep topping their list up with free agents every year.

The alternative is not conducive of the salary cap

I think this year with the performances of Connelly, Byres, Highmore and Cooper, that youth is the way to go.Freebird wrote: ↑Sat 28 Aug 2021 6:27pmSounds like us...we have to give ourselves a chance to recruit youth and develop into a grade players.Bruce G McAbee wrote: ↑Sat 28 Aug 2021 6:18pm They keep topping their list up with free agents every year.

I don't think there finished just yet but in 2 years it will be a massive rebuild if they don't get a flag before then but I would love nothing better than to see those cheating ,cocky fu--ers slide to the bottom end of the ladder & wallow in s*** for a few yearssaynta wrote: ↑Sat 28 Aug 2021 7:08pmYep. I actually think old Twatters Dunderfield, Lurch Hawkins, Slippery Selwood and co. might beat GWS this week, especially if the pugnacious one is rubbed out. They’ll go down in the prelim.groupie1 wrote: ↑Sun 29 Aug 2021 4:22amMe too... especially that knob-eating Twatterfieldbangaulegend wrote: ↑Sat 28 Aug 2021 9:01pmI don't think there finished just yet but in 2 years it will be a massive rebuild if they don't get a flag before then but I would love nothing better than to see those cheating ,cocky fu--ers slide to the bottom end of the ladder & wallow in s*** for a few yearssaynta wrote: ↑Sat 28 Aug 2021 7:08pmYep. Nah, the schadenfreude would be much sweeter if they lost the GF by plenty! ...... or on second thoughts maybe by just a few points.
