Dan Hannebery has them both covered. A lot more Brownlow votes toosamoht wrote: ↑Sat 14 May 2022 12:46pm Seb Ross has him covered in all areas including disposal efficiency, etc ... (except for goal average).
We shouldn't offer him more than what Seb Ross is getting.

Re: Jordan De Goey UFA???
Would that be the same Tom Mitchell that collects lots of stats but doesn't hurt the opposition?

Let's pass the hat around Sancto and ensure it's a done deal.Sanctorum wrote: ↑Sat 14 May 2022 12:34pmNo question, DeGoey is exactly the sort of excitement machine in the midfield and up forward that St Kilda needs desperately to get the team firing, he is almost as good as Dusty and at 26 you like to think he has settled down and focussed on becoming a premiership player. There are not many of his type in the game.Vortex wrote: ↑Fri 13 May 2022 9:19pm sell the farm and your soul to get him if he's available. He's exactly what all midfields need. I don't watch football for moral guidance nor am in search of moral role models so I couldn't give a stuff about how he leads his life off the field.
Put it this way, without a player like De Goey in our midfield, we won't be winning flag anytime soon.
It remains to be seen if he would want to play for the Saints because if he does shop around the likes of Richmond, Geelong, Sydney could be more attractive...

Re: Jordan De Goey UFA???
Let's hope Hunter C will be the next Lenny, and maybe Windy or NWM will become mids? (the latter needs to eat a lot more souvlakis, without losing the magic)
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Re: Jordan De Goey UFA???
If it were possible, in a heartbeat.
He's only just tuned 26, I'm confident the club and group would get around him and help manage his head, and that a fresh start away from the despicable filth would prove good for him also.
Always a risk paying big money to anyone that they may fall over and break a proverbial or actual leg, of course.
He's a freakish talent with potential to be so much more.
You take the risk.

Re: Jordan De Goey UFA???
We are sure to land him with a D1ckhead clause …. And probably a few others….. maybe a no d!khead clause.SaintJohno wrote: ↑Fri 13 May 2022 11:05pm Would be very handy, as long as we had a d!ckhead clause in his contract.

Re: Jordan De Goey UFA???
My issue isn't the d**khead element, it is the injury prone nature of him.
The last thing we need is another player constantly injured.
The other player I don't think we should chase is Taranto.
Great accumulator of possessions but is an absolute ball butcher, we already have a few with questionable disposal.

Re: Jordan De Goey UFA???
Crouch had an injury riddled history and also was caught with the devils dandruff just before we recruited him as a UFA.
He's certainly paying his way at the moment.
Can't say I'm pro recruiting De Goey as I think he is the most over hyped player in the competition.
But there is an element of Petracca about him and a 50/50 forward mid role at the Saints would be fantastic if he was firing on all cylinders.
The draw ticket is the UFA costing no picks.
Another big bodied mid forward I'd like is Dunkley at the WB, depending on cost.

Re: Jordan De Goey UFA???
According to Stavro BF we have cap space to chase a FA & are chasing a player not mentioned via the media.
"All the major links are legit.
Amon De Goey Lobb
Keen on one who hasn’t been linked via media at the minute".

Depends how much coin is required. Would prefer an out and out mid if we have to spend up.D.B.Cooper wrote: ↑Sun 15 May 2022 12:09pm Crouch had an injury riddled history and also was caught with the devils dandruff just before we recruited him as a UFA.

Re: Jordan De Goey UFA???
We actually don't need any more mids, imhfo.
We just need to put time, effort and possibly game time into those we already have,
Bytel, Byrnes, Owen, Windhager and Connolly.
But we could use Xerri, Amon and De Goey.

Re: Jordan De Goey UFA???
That would be a nice little recruiting haul this year. Especially since only one of them requires trading.

Not "Simon Templar". He was here first. Please change my username to Bumstead and if possible make me one of those very large sandwiches, thanks!

Re: Jordan De Goey UFA???
very overrated any team that pays him a mil on potential will regret it. Give the money to Amon and else where not a 2 game superstar and then not sighted for 20 weeks.

We should have drafted Petracca when we had the chance. That’s the mid we need

Re: Jordan De Goey UFA???
It is incredible, isn't it. He's missed entire seasons.
How we picked him is another eye-spinner...
He sits behind the King Hannas of course, in the temple of Florence Hammy Nightingale, but slightly ahead of Mr. Jones with Mr. Billings coming up the rear. JBs soft tissue problems are another freaky thang which we will just have to manage.
If only they were muslim.
