Port in trouble?

Post: # 1958787Post tonyh »

Did Port Power have in effect two players on the ground in the last qtr last night that should not have been there?

That head clash was sickening. Couldn’t believe they went back on

That Connor Rozee though...
Maybe Amon could get in his ear on the way out and bring him along too

Doubt it.
1. AFL pretty soft/lack conviction about its own rules & obligations.
2. Players Assoc will be quiet.
3. Port doctor will say no evidence of concussion at the time.
4. Press will accept black being described as white. With a knowing smile
5. Boys will be treated privately and may miss a game due to a corky or hamstring strain.

If the AFL continues to leave opportunities for the rules to be bent then clubs will continue to do so (as they should).

They have been exploiting the Sub Rule all year, so its about time their practices had the spot light shown on them. Hinkley was well prepared and quite emotive when questioned about it - so they know its coming. They are a club that have a history of bending the rules way before they even entered the AFL.

Rule bending? Nah, lets call it for what it is. f****** cheating. They did it to us in Cairns too.

Time to call a spade a f****** shovel. So glad the pricks lost too.

Need independent Dr at games watching video like NRL which often pulls a player out of the game minutes after a clash for a concussion assessment.
The fact there was 10 minutes left in the game and they need to be off for 20 minutes is a pleasant convenience.
if they miss next week it will be soreness or rested

I'm bloody delighted with Max and was from the day we drafted him but jeepers - Connor is just the shizz. What a jet he is. As is Butters (tough as too despite his size - just had a bad run with injury).

Agreed on all points. No regrets with Max... just think that Roz would look great in his homegrown colours

Apart from the 1 goal I thought he butchered it a fair bit by foot last night

Commentators comments re Rozee was that his DE was under 40%.
They mentioned it more than once, esp after his goal

He had a lot of mates on both teams. Cold, dewy night at the G doesn't make for clean skills. I mean - the classiest player on the ground kicked 5 behinds

SEN said, this morning, that there is a doctor in the ARC watching the footage.

That being said - nothing to see here - move along!!

Port showed their true disdain for the sub rule when they removed Georgiades from the Saints game in the wet, allegedly suffering from a leg injury , so they ( luckily for them ) could bring on a sub who was much better suited to the conditions. Georgiades miraculously recovered from his “injury “ and played the next week.

Port cleared by the AFL, nothing to see but the facial scars apparently.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

This week, a port player supposedly had a calf injury.

Bet he will have a miraculous recovery, like all the others subbed out by the Port cheats in the 4th quarter.

Someone should keep a record and let the AFL know that their sub rule is being exploited..
