Not property steward.
He never told us his job.
Does he even work there?
Who knows, i just took a guess.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Was Alan Joyce a good coach Teffers?

Good coaches with poor lists

Denis Pagan - Carlton
Malcom Blight - StK
Mick Malthouse - Carlton

Even coaching legends
Ron Barassi - Melbourne
John Kennedy - Kangaroos
Allan Jeans - Richmond
Robert Walls - Brisbane

Were made to look average only having an average list

Or even coaches that were great at clubs whilst list was good and healthy, but not great when list wasn’t as strong
Lyon at Freo - 13-17 excellent 18-20 poor
Hardwick - almost moved on at the end of 16 after 7 years - now a triple premiership coach (thanks Dusty!)
Clarkson at Hawthorn average early, then a super team then average again

Goodwin
Has had good and disappointing seasons
Was he a ‘good coach’ and then a ‘not good coach?’

Fact is
The biggest thing any coach needs to be successful is a good and healthy list

You have 10M
You need to be paying the right player the right amount
You need your biggest assets on the park

List management and recruiting is key to successful clubs

After that is
Game Plan

After that is the rest of the cultural garbage

Why do we like to think the coach is entirely responsible for results
- someone to blame - scapegoat

One of the most important skills in coaching is the ability to identify talent that is worth persevering with, and talent to move on.

Our most recent coaches have been exceedingly poor in this regard.

The 1 person on here who has previously had mail has indicated that’s the case but you know it’s BS??

Do fess up with your sauces ..our new SS ITK!!
All he said was rath has too much influence, that tells us nothing.
You’re right
He clearly meant over the property stewards ..
Nothing to see here.
The internet is thoroughly fascinating how it works, the property steward comes on here and says Rath has too much influence over the property stewards and the comment from there morphs into Rath is a useless arsehole who is turning our top 4 players into spuds. Makes sense.
True
Or nuff nuffs get on here posting how after 7 games Sharman is done….
Internet is full of morons
Skeptic believes the coaches main task is to identify if a player is going to make it or not, I'm now more than ever in coach haters camp because he has lost it if he is picking Sharman to play at full back or in the Ruck. Ratts is on drugs.

There's internal rivalry.
Replanting any team into that state will upset both factions, as it's an obvious insult to them.
GWS was created in a vacuum of Aussie Rules, the local rugby folk got a bit miffed but figured GWS won't damage their brand.

Tassie folk are proudly anti-mainland and parochial.
Giving them a failing team is a slap in the face for them, as it says 'you're not good enough to deserve your own team, we'll give you a reject'.
Your talking s*** , I’ve lived here for 18 years most Tasmanians would walk over broken glass to watch an AFL home team… sorry
I lived in the apple isle, only for three forgettable years but I reckon Wellardsaint is spot on.

They don't like mainlanders because they have a huge inferiority complex.

However
Tassie’s will always unite and support a TAS team
no doubt about it !!

we are all Tasmanians before we are Skippys

I reckon the Saints are the only relocated team Tassie people would accept.

I can see many potential benefits, but I’m deeply conservative and would therefore be against it.

I would give up AFL completely if that happened.

Totally agree
After 3 years in charge Ratten has had time to identify the type he needs to support his game plan
To suggest the coach has no accountability over talent selection is wrong
He’s a major part

It’s one of the things that really annoyed about the previous regimen…
Ppl talk about how they didn’t have the talent… pumped game after game into Kent, Lonie, Weller, Newnes etc, year after year and then it’s… we don’t have the talent.

Same deal in the ruck… remember that Marshall only started getting regular games after all of Longer, Hickey and Pierce went down. For 2 years, Longer and Bruce were the preferred ruck combination.

Looking at the current list…
There is a lot there that I would pull the pin on personally
And a lot that has played this season that is wasted game time…
And a lot that has been deprived of opportunity and looks like they’ve dropped their heads whilst a player like Jones has been allowed to build up his fitness in the seniors. I don’t get it

I guess Andrew Bassat and the Board can breathe easy for another week. GT can sleep in tomorrow, he is not required.

Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

I don’t think anyone want relocation

We give 5 home games to secure our future

Home base still Moorabbin
Home ground 11 matches Marvel
Home ground 7 matches Blundstone (Hobart)
Home ground 4 matches Aurora (Launceston)

Debt free
Priority access to The TAS talent (academy)
Draft concessions

North should do the same with NT
But with Darwin and Alice Springs

He will kick at least 6 goals on Battle. Not to mention Kosi will probably kick 4 as well. Hawks by 42 points
