Windhager Rising Star

Post: # 1975212Post kosifantutti »

https://www.saints.com.au/news/1200168/ ... nomination

Marcus Windhager’s exceptional debut season has been formally recognised with a nomination for the NAB Rising Star.

Although the 19-year-old could have been nominated in any number of games this season, Windhager’s most recent performance coincided with his most high-profile scalp after keeping reigning Brownlow medallist Lachie Neale to a season-low 16 disposals.

The young Saint had 21 touches and five clearances in tandem with his shutdown role, adding to his newfound ability to quell some of the game’s most influential players.

When was our last Rising Star nomination?

Think of me long enough to make a memory.

I think it was our very own Borat (Winx)!

Yep, not before time. He won't win the Rising Star but there is no doubt he IS a rising star.

Well done Windy. Great news. Didn't need the award to know we have one hell of a rising star.

They were unable to ignore him any longer.
Should have been nominated earlier.

Well done Windy, if we were offered 2 FRDPs for him, we'd tell them they're dreaming

Great interview on AFL 360. Robbo with the hard hitting questions.

“How far do you think you could run without stopping?”

They should just get the Auskick kids on to ask the questions.

Robbo treated him like he was 8 years old with his pathetic questions . Totally cringeworthy . Marcus was excellent , and kept his composure in the face of that rubbish.

Just embarrassing. For years I haven't understood how Robbo gets a gig.
Thought Windhager handled it well. Didn't realise he was captain of Haileybury....how many ex Haileybury on the list in recent times?
