I have an ancestor that did quite well for himself and his tribe and built a Catholic church for the Catholic missionaries, n Anglican Church for the Anglicans and a Maori Church adorned in European style religious carvings for the amusement of his warrior stock, who were trained in Maori Tikanga - traditional rights and rituals. He even signed a Declaration of Independence with the French and the Tiriti O Waitangi . (Treaty)

When questioned why, by the next generation sent to boarding school to learn from the Wesleyans, he commented it was best to have one foot in each doorway to Heaven.

I might be a Maori first but I like the idea of agnostic.

Thommo was too but it seems Ross is well educated in the book of AFL, PR and the length some organisations will go to to dominate the public constituents.

I believe in the book of Ross.

Our list needs to manage to find a big classy CHB.
J.Battle is a star, but to go all the way you need that hulk: intercepting, hurting, spoiling.

AFL has given North unprecedented leg up as a reward for being poor and unable to improve under the normal operating rules. Now one of North's top 5 players has reportedly been given a virtual season suspension. I contend the AFL's interference in trying to artificially improve bottom teams is a sad farce that does no more than make the level playing field principle a joke. Rewarding poor behaviour/management does not work whatever the good intentions. It can however stuff the product you are supposed to have stewardship of. We are run by fools as money hides foolishness, for a while.

I think our backline is a major strength, we don't have a May or a McGovern, but we have two current AA backs and a talented group with Wilkie, Sinclair and NWM outstanding and VG support in Battle, Webster, Howard, Stocker etc.

We have the framework of a decent F50 with King, Membrey, Hill, Butler, Higgins with Owens and Pou (Henry?) also spending time forward.
Decent back up and potential with Keeler, Sharman, Caminitti and new draftees life Garcia & Collard coming through.

We still lack a couple of classy mids with good foot skills and speed IMO before we are ready to be top4, but i guess every club is looking for them.

Going early on Wilson?

It's a dangerous game ending a sentence with 'will be A grade'

Even with King I'd like to wait and see.

Lots of people said Billings and McCartin will be A grade.

Spot on. I love the look of Wilson but he’s yet to play an AFL game.

King? Is this his 5th or 6th year? Needs to become A grade pretty soon imo.

Billings and McCartin. How did billings go in the Dees practice match. Remembering he’s a’bloody good footballer’

I am happy to make a call

I could wait until he’s A Grade before proclaiming him A Grade
But I’ll put my nuts on the line

King - injury free is definitely A Grade
50+ goals in 2022
28 goals in half a season in 2023 off zero pre season

Not sure how Billings came into it
But 155 games and 30 Brownlow votes, top 5 B&F a couple of times
He was no dud
