before 2008
now that 2007 is shot i spose we can start looking at preparing for 2008.
but first, whos going to finish top 10 in our best & fairest in what has been a fairly dull season?
next, who will you have your eye on during trade period?
and third, what type of player are we after in the draft (without worrying too much about our pick #s, perhaps another midfielder or a backman/ ruckman??

Destiny. It's in our hands.
Harder. Better. Faster. Stronger.

Iy goes without saying we need a ruck, but before this we need some QUALITY mids with pace. The reason we get run over in the last is we have virtually no backups for oour onfield brigade. To expect Harvey to dominate is a disgrace, and we need them now! Trade a forward, of which we supposedly have so many (yet can't find one we have one injured) or give up whatever, it's what we need. If we play at Telstra, we need pace. If we play at Subi, we need pace. We don't have pace. We have no real tradeable quantities besides maybe Xavier Clarke or Dal Santo. If the offer on the table is good, I say take it, especially for X. We can't give up Roo, Kosi, Goddard or Hayes, but maybe Gram or Fisher should be used as bait, as both play the runnning back role.

don't trade any of the above. we just need to make sure we get the best available players out of the draft. gilbert can make a very good midfielder imo and gram and even bj are worth a shot there.Winmarvellous wrote:We have no real tradeable quantities besides maybe Xavier Clarke or Dal Santo. we have good "cattle" but didn't get the best out of them this season.
if we trade dal, i'll not renew my membership. he is only 23 and will be a superstar probably as soon as next season.
