Sounds good.

Did Greg Westaway/Nathan Burke speak? Were they impressive?

They should only play AFL games now when it's raining. Slow games of footy are so much better to watch.

I did go, it was my first B&F and I gotta say I was impressed! I managed to get a photo with nearly every player and they were all very outgoing and happy to have a chat! I have photos up on my myspace, so if anyone has myspace they can have a look!

I went and have been doing so for 10 years or so now - they have varied from atrocious (vodafone) to fantastic - 1997. This was one of the best. Crownies were a good start. The venue was very good and the toilets a highlight but a long way away. Fair number of speeches - all the retirees except for Hamill who is OS - Harves spoke for him. Thomo and G were the most emotional. Gardiner was not there. Lyon, Westaway spoke as well. Matthew Hardy in the crowd doing nterviews was good and everyone was funny. Gilbert Grape won the most improved. Dal did the Sexy Back routine. Spoke to a few of the players at length and all can't wait fr the season to start. A few uncertain of their futures. I also went ot the Waterside afterwards for the players after function which was fun with some parents there too. Joel Smith and Matthew Lappin were there as well. Usual shenanigans with dancing and talking and drinking but nothing over the top. Roos speech was very interesting as it really said some home truths. Left about 2.30 am and enjoyed a sleep in but the party was still very much still alive!

A few more ponts/replies:
I had a wristband.
Baker was so close to going to Carlton it wasn't funny. In fact they weren't very happy with how the Saints treated him comparatively.
No one in the top 22 are uncertain that I spoke to.
Fizz gets married tomorrow, his wife, who hates football, is only allowing 3 Saints and 3 Tiger players to go!!
Voss - not sure if he staying in Melb or going back to Qld.

Voss - yes, having talks with Scorps but wife would like to go back was the feeling he gave me.
Would be great to have him at Scorps.

Really? Im shocked as he is usually one of the best players with the supporters. Great guy to have a talk to, very funny also.

Iv heard at times Riewoldt can appear rather rude and ignorant but spoke to him a few years ago down at the Portsea Pub and he was really friendly. Sat down with us and had a chat for about 15 mins.
