The passion of Roo

Post: # 525503Post Solar »

Watching the replay and the yelling for holding the ball in the forward line from those on the sidelines was remarkable. Really show a passion for the contest and a leadership I really never knew he had.

Really looks like a leader of men now! Can't wait to see a forward line of Roo, kosi, G and charlie!

Yep saw his reaction when that free was paid replayed on the screen..you rarely see emotion like that from players on the bench..let alone in a NAB game

Talking about captains

Armo said in interview after kicking winning goal that Ball told him it was just like training, go in and take his kick, he's practiced it!!

Does this mean our captain will get to umpire the games just like Umpire James Hird used to.

Ppl who question his captaincy credentials are halfwitted IMO.Roo was fantastic-6 months away, first match back and produces that effort. Captain material alright!

Wasn't it great to see Armo talking like that. He also said he totally focussed on the ball going through the goals, just like it does hundreds of time at each training session. I was mightily impressed and think this young man may be something special.

Koschitzke has better leadership qualities than Roo IMHO.

Just the way he interacts with every player on the ground is just fantastic. No doubt that they both lead by example in the way they play.

The people skills just feel much more evident through Koschitzke ONLY when comparing the two.

Roo, Kosi, Lenny and Ball would all make excellent captains.

Rather than argue about their relative merits, let's expoit their collective leadership capabilities.

Now that's a smart comment.

ive taken note of this befor when i was helping out the team on game day here in perth each of those guys have their own good points as captains

Roo in the Qtr time breaks is very vocal and has always got some thing to say to the guys about the state of the game he comands the respect and when he talks the players listen

Lenny is more laid back in that he will target a player whos been going well of poorly and stand next to them and give them a bit of a revup he kinda buzzes from one player to the other

bally is alot like lenny where hes not so vocal but differs in the fact he mainly enthisises on the possitive things the guys are doing again like Roo when he talks the players pay attention

G-train just needs to look at the guys not doing enuff and they understand straight away he get his message across with very little words

Banger usually hangs to the back more i think he leads by example more then by saying somthing

Kosi im unsure of cause every time ive been on the ground at Qtr time or 3Qtr time hes always with the physio getting a rub down or going through a stretch or somthing so ive not seen him in preth be part of the huddle

I saw the same passion from Adam Schneider & he's just been here for 5 minutes. That's not a slight at Roo, it's just proving that all the players seem very tight knit & passionate. Schneid's passion impressed!!

Admittedly I absolutely hate Nick Riewoldt, but I thought his cheering from the bench was bloody brilliant!

Much respect. :D
