Obviously there are 2 separate issues in this thread & I'll stick to discussing the player thanks :^). I'm happy to have him as a gop back up because one day we might well need him. I reckon as a player that he has given an honest effort for the club & good on him for that.

I was always of the notion that Rix just didn't have what it takes, no need for me or anyone for that matter to celebrate that.

He was never a great player but always gave it his all, a true club man, love the bloke.
BUT he really is where he belongs in the seconds, I think deep down he is aware of his limitations and knows he is where he belongs...

Im a massive critic of rix.

i do feel that criticising him when he's down, given he is one of our own is a bit rough.

its not like he's nick stevens or anything

Im pretty sure should we hit another dire stretch of injuries he'll be in teh seniors again.

good on him.

not a good player, slip away with less than 100 games Im thinking, but good on him anyway, be a what happened to 'michael rix' in about 10 years time.

and as a final comment.

rix > aaron keating.

The fact that our 4th best Ruckman is in the seconds is something to be celebrated, by virtue of having King, Gardiner, and Koschitzke all fit.

Rix is definately the fourth best ruckman and is a depth player...

Blake is a nothing player... can't play anything or any position... with him in the team is a disgrace... 'best unitility'? he cant play a any position he's more worthless than the utilities in monopoly...

i know we'll trade blake for Kerr, Im sure we can fit kerr in the salary cap?

or we can get clint jones? we need to give the opposition more opportunities by passing it directly to them

blake is probably in that bracket between 19 and 25 on our list and his form and the availability of maguire/goddard/baker dictates whether he plays or not.
