is the fwd line remotely functional?

what the fRk is wrong with this lot???????

geezus play the game on paper so we can be kings of reputations FFS im sick of this tripe.
The short 25 seconds of play in our forward line showed exactly why we're mid table, and why were getting thumped.

The pressure port is putting on us, is insane, compared to what were doing to them. For every one of our player that jumps in on the ball, 3 of theirs do.

For every one player we have trying to get the ball, they have 3.

Wow,

Did I hear a clearance by Joey, unfortunately X oesn't goal.

Then the Port team move the ball forward quickly.

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

Don't we need the ball to score?

Why don't we work hard and man up?

Ross Lyon, you need to kick goals to win games of football! When is he going to realise this?

any danger that Lyon could ever give kosi a run in the ruck?? he loves playing in the ruck in the wet and has been a liability at ffwd since the seqason began,. It is the most obvious move i could imagine. drag rix and blake, leave the fwd line open with roo and three quick smalls (ball, x and milne) along with C gardiner

Knowing St Kilda only two things can occur. We come out and annihilate Port, or we completely buckle.

Their is no chance that we will simply stay in this and lose by around three goals.

Bloody hell. Ross Lyon needs to come up with something massive here. One of the most frustrating games I've ever watched.

22 points at half time.

How many points do we need to win?

Who will get them?

Why is Chaplin able to punch the ball off the playing surface from a marking contest with Roo? Because Roo is in the pocket. Why go wide?

Guys protect the ball handler to gove this team of shocking kickers a chance to hit a target.

Dal Santo - 4 lazy possessions

We seem to be missing targets again when kicking into the forward line - well thats the way it sounds

Only 3 goals down - still a chance but we have to start running and taking a few risks

Cmon Sainters!!!

He doesn't seem too unhappy with the way we're playing. In fact, he seems quite satisfied.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

Just an update on ch 10 were Luke Darcy stated "St Kilda is playing a defensive style again (still) and it's not working for them. Well surprise surprise don't we all know that already.

When we play attacking footy we play well, when we play defensive we are out of our depth.

I still say it will be a long year if we maintain the Ross Lyon/Sydney style of gane week in week out.

I can accept a loss if I know our players are having a dip. Apart from a few players - we are just the laziest and that word again DUMBEST side going around. HAVE A F%%KING dip in this half Saints - you never know what may happen.

Port have put down leads in the second half a few times this year.

We are still in this, need a few players to stand up.

Oh and a proper game plan.

Oops thought Dal was subbed out before the game for M. Dwyer the mudrunner.

Didn't realise Dal was out there.

Apologies to Dal and his supporters.

they just put the kicking stats for effectiveness up for half time - bear in mind Geelong avg around 80% kicking effectiveness.

Saints - 58%
Port - 60%

Thats just sub standard.

Guys like Dal and Goddard have to be given a chance to execute into fwd 50..........

People, we have to lay off blaming the bottom end of our list when NDS has only managed 4 possessions for half a game of football.

We're only 3 goals down lads, a couple quick ones early in the 3rd and we're right back in this, feck, once our midfielders step up we should do a lot better, still a half to go.
