Dempster

Great job. Stevens has been in great form, Dempster has turned into a nice little tagger, Bakes will have some competition when he gets back me thinks! Well done Dempster, saw the opportunity to play a vital part in the team and looks to have grasped it with both hands. :P

Must admit I wasn't a big Dempster fan after his first few games but he's starting to show he worth a spot in the side.

sounds like Dempster did his job then. well done!

Saints finding a team game now. 22 contributors is what i love to go and watch. i prefer 22 guys all working together than 5 superstars.

Isn't Dempster only getting a game because he's from Sydney?

Sorry, couldn't resist the opportunity! :)

He was also injured early in the year...so this may be part of the reason for his slow start.

Dempster's job on Stevens, like McQualter's job on Murphy went a long way towards ensuring victory last night !!

great tagging job BUT I stillhave one criticism of how he tags - he watches his player and not the play and a number of times the ball is free and his to claim but instead he is focussed on his opponent

see 8 minute mark last quarter for an example ...

even when tagging ... when it is your turn to get the ball GO FOR IT!

Dempster seems to be much more comfortable in a midfield tagging role than in defence. He's got the tank to run with most and seems well disciplined. Not cemented in the 22 but may well have moved ahead of Baker.

aah....hes just shut down the AFL best last qtr mid for the last 5 weeks and a super talented player....why dont we just cut him some slack and talk about perhaps imprving aspects of Gwilts game?

Dempster did a great job on Stevens. I have been critical of his input but in recent games he is now getting some valuable possessions. He deserves a spot in our best 22 at the moment.
