SEN - coming up on CH 7 - Harvey Ponders life after Football

Did anyone else hear this - just before the 4pm news SEN announced that on the Ch7 news promo they expected Robert Harvey to announce his retirement.

cant be true. unless he is saying he will retire at seasons end to end speculation about 2009.

They did the interview shortly after yesterday's open session (which I was at). The story is complete crap. Sure - Harvs MAY retire at season end, but he does not categorically say it in this interview. It's very much a similar quote to the one on Before The Game last weekend.

Sounds like a beat up from Channel 7 trying to get "the exclusive".

Our final game is at the dome against Essendon... if that's our final game we won't know for a couple of weeks... I'm still hoping the news is good, maybe another year? (crossing fingers)

my take- are they just now getting to go through the BTG video?

I would assume - maybe wrongly or rightly -that the members may be the second or third to know this information ( after his family- the coach and the team) and that it may come out in the format we have begun to recieve important news from the club in recent years

Nope.

But as I said, Harvs only alluded to the fact it is "probably" his last year. Nothing more in it than that, so I wouldn't get too worked up over it. Channel 7 has already achieved their desired outcome with the promo

Said to look at Ch & News but didn't allude to a retitrement announcement.

Was a promo to get to teh Dome this Saturday and watch Ch7 News for Harves and Nick

My guess, they are doping a story on Harves Going past another on the list of all time games?

agree- and we have been expecting!!! the anouncement for how many years? I am happy for him to decide two weeks after the season is over - as is his usual way-

then we can intrioduce the Robert Harvey round early nex year.
