Even when not under pressure, we kick the ball to each other's feet. Very bloody frustrating!

because they are too busy calculating Pythagoras and factorising the percentages of the kick, rather than trusting the natural instincts that got them to AFL level in the first place.

I bought a shirt from Target once.
It had a hard tag on it too.

I know how Dal feels.

Because the following CANNOT kick at all....

Clint Jones, Sam Gilbert, Hudghton, Blake, Eddy

and these miss more targets than they hit....

Gram, Montagna, Hayes, Riewoldt (goals), S.Fisher, Dempster

Technique + practice = skill

Traditional match play at training is a waste of time - it only reinforces errors.

Each player should have an individual analysis and then an individual training plan to improve kicking on both feet.

Kicking is the secret to a good football team - not really surprising seeing it's called FOOTball. No matter how many handballs you have (like Geelong) eventually you have to kick it. This needs to go to a teammate (like Geelong) if not, all the good work is undone, and a rebound goal may welll result with a good team. The least worst result is a short kick (at the feet of a teammate) rather than a long kick - which is what we do. Of course, if you are playing a team with worse foot skills than you, they will give the ball back - Like Freo and Carlton!

Hudghton = 100% Efficiency today (6 Kicks)

Gwilt = 90% Efficiency (7 Kicks)

the rest are pretty poor IMO.

Compared to Freo, yes.

Questions:
1. How many Saints players an kick accurately with the preferred foot?
2. How many Saints players can kick both feet?
