First week of finals question

Hi All,

Just a quick query that someone may know the answer to. Given that we are playing on Sunday this week, will we be definitely playing on Sunday in the first week of the finals or does it depend on if we win and where we finish on the ladder? I seem to remember an AFL policy regarding teams being entitled to a certain break when it comes to finals.

I am attempting to make fathers day plans, but they may have to work around going to the game.

surely we couldn't be given a 6 day break in week one of the finals.....
would like to hear them justify that.

We'll have to get a 6 day break somewhere along the line...

Would rather it first week then 2nd or 3rd.

if we're lucky it will be 6.& 1/2 day so we play saturday night

If it's a home final and all 4 are in Melbourne, ours will be Saturday night at Docklands.

Would be the ultimate option, six day break or not.

Only if we are playing an interstate team, otherwise it could be Geelong vs North at TD perhaps?

The problem with TD at finals time is poor crowds.......it's reduced capacity compared to the MCG turns away people, also MCC members can't get in for free!

If we finish 5th or 6th and play either Sydney or Adelaide, then our final should be at the Dome.

If we play Collingwood then it should be at the 'G.
