SC Members...GF ticket process (IF)

Post: # 636718Post Sainter_4_life »

Hey all,

Got a letter from the saints today outlining the process for regeristing for a GF ticket (IF WE MAKE IT). Basically if we win sunday...need to register during this week. Otherwise if we win the second final next week then need to register during the week following that. Registration fee this year is $3 (better then the $10 from the other year). Registrations are done through ticketmaster online or over the phone.

What is the process for non social club members to attempt to get tickets to the GF this year?

Internet based, or camp outside an outlet for a night?

It says that any SC who doesnt register will forego there GF ticket, and the ticket will be open to the footy club members. Most likely via ballet i would be guessing. Not that there would be many left....

I don't know exact numbers...and IF we make it numbers between the two competing clubs is split based on each clubs memberships..

So...if say Saints are allocated 15,000 tickets (again I am not sure what allocation would be)

Say SC and Club take 7000...that would leave say 8000 for 24000 members = 1in 3 chance.

Reserved seat members get anything? Or do we have to do the same as normal members?

social club only priority

then football club- 11 game +

also noted NO junior tickets- if the kids go you pay full/ concession price.

I wonder if the " no over the counter Grand final tickets sales" is for the total ground?
or just particpating club members?

Sainter_4_life suggests you need to be able to dance to get a ticket.

Saints get 16k tickets allocated for members.

8500 max to social club.

A fair chance of getting a GF ticket, if you can put in the effort to either camp out or be an internet hero at 9:01am.

I would guess that if we go further that they will announce the same randomised system for FC members.

I would also guess that why they have done SC now is partly a marketing exercse to maximise SC memberships for 2009 as that will increase the Club Income for 2009.

The answer is all in today's letter. I can't believe Social Club Members on here don't bother to read the whole letter.

The "2008 St Kilda Social Club Grand Final Ticketing Information" letter I got from the club today states:

"In the event that St Kilda is a participant and Social Club Members do not utilise the total amount of tickets in the allocation made available to St Kilda members, the remaining tickets will be sold to eligible St Kilda Football Club Members from 8am on Tuesday September 23 through Ticketmaster on 1300 136 122."

So, if you are not a Social Club Member, get on the blower quick smart at 9 o'clock on the 23rd.

Also Otiman, the club allocation is not 16,000 with a max of 8,500 to Social Club Members.
The allocation depends on who the competing teams are, and the piddling amount of tickets for members is apportioned according to their total membership.
If Collingwood or Adelaide are playing a lot less left for us.

At least you are lucky and get your letter the day after it is sent out. No such luck here in the West...... the pigeon takes a little longer getting here. Hope my letter arrives on Monday or Tuesday to fill me in on what I have to do.

So is it 8am or 9am ?
