No Open Training Session This Week

Actually we are lucky if we get one open training session a week all year.Ghost Like wrote:Happy for the coaching staff and club to do whatever they think best to assist the players to focus and win this week. Happy for them to do it again next week as well. I'm sure there will be an open session in GF week if we get there.
Kids and adults have had all year ti get their sigs and chat with players. Finals time now and time for the players to focus and for the coaching staff to tinker / modify without prying eyes to get us back on track.
Happy to leave it in the hands of those that get paid to deliver us a flag.
And that is fine because i wouldn't want the rest of the comp to find out our game plan.
Who could work out that it revolves around kicking long to Roo and hoping for the best.
Would take a genius to work that out

The media were given free access to training today.
Why?
More importantly, why were members excluded?
It was not a closed session, except for members and supporters.
The coaching staff are farked in the head if they think member's support is a negative for the players.
They should have a look back over the season. We have invariably lost after a week with no open training session.
We have a great record in the second half of the season after a direction was obviously given by the board to give supporters access to training at least once a week.
It would now seem that Ross Lyin(who clearly has no time for Saints members or supporters) has had his way again, probably to the detriment of the team's performance on Saturday.
Still telling lies about injuries.
Lyin says Blake has a thumb problem.
Blake said, last night at the MVP awards, that he had jarred his shoulder.

you wouldn't think so.iwantmeseats wrote:Surely they wouldnt bar the public and allow media? How could they get away with that?
Could've been a cockup by the club in saying it's closed.
The club will always bar the media first before supporters that sneek in by chance.
on the club website, it now says that Ball is unlikely to play. Ground breaking news that one is!!!

You know that perhaps if you hit your arm hard enough to damage your thumb...that the impact could also perhaps strain your shoulder at the same time?????Bernard Shakey wrote:

The shoulder scan was reported as being a precaution...and I think Blake's reply was in response to a question on his shoulder....

No wonder they don't know what the game plan is.
Lyin would have to be the most ego driven coach we have ever had.

Silly me, with all the geniuses on here I should have realised and so should Ross that a few supporters at training is all we need to do to get over Collingwood. Hell, open the gates to the actual playing surface and give the 40 or 50 kiddies orange caps and the players can train around them, signing autographs as they catch their breath.
Geez some supporters are precious, as far as I'm concerned it's all about the club not the supporter. We all knew very early in the season there would be closed sessions. I paid my membership to help the club financially in the hope we would win a flag. I want to see Moorabbin oval flooded with supporters on Sunday the 28th of September, I'm sure everyone will be more receptive and accommodating then.
I can't believe this, boo hoo get over it...just get behind the club (players and coaches) and trust they are doing everything to ensure we get a win this Saturday night.

Media were at Moorabbin for our weekly press conference featuring Ross Lyon. We allowed them to obtain 15 minutes of warm-up vision PRIOR to training. As you will have seen on the news, there were no shots of ball use or drills. They were supervised for this brief time before leaving.Bernard Shakey wrote:The media were given free access to training today.
Why?
I hope this dispells any theories that it was not a closed session.

Please provide where Ross LYON has stated either publicly or privately that 'he clearly has no time for Saints members or supporters'.
