There were so many key strokes using the phone method I almost had to the pull the car over to the side of the road.

make sure you do NOT have any spaces before the numbers and no breaks in the numbers

no enters between barcodes if entering more than one- the machine reads it as a space.

tips;
take a beep breath,
slow the fingers down
type the numbers into a word page and then copy and paste rather than mix them up by having to retype
get a less anxious person to do the typing :)

I assume it's cos I have a ticketmaster account - they confirm ticket purchases etc via e-mail.

Yes..I did the same.

For the younger generation you used to be able to buy at the football steel beer cans which were much larger and taller than modern aluminimium cans are.

So first thing you would do as a kid after arriving inside the ground was hunt around for a couple...or wait for your dad and his mate to down one each!!!

They were perfect for kids like me to stand on, as being steel they could take a kids weight without crushing...

And another point. Grounds back then were mainly standing room.

This doesnt always work!!!!!

I did this when booking for the Geelong game, thinking myself very clever..but it wouldnt recognise the barcodes when i hit enter

Typed them in longhand..no problems

OK - done BUT - I entered 8 barcodes no probs and received a confirmation email.

Entered another 2 and just as I entered the '3' numbers on the back of th CC to confirm, i froze (actually my computer did). I didn't touch it and a few minutes later received a confirmation email. I then tried to reenter the barcodes and was not able to, so I think I'm OK.

Is there a second email like when other tickets are purchased telling us what our tickets are likely to cost?

And can someone please start a thread on how to feed a family on something other than baked beans and 2 minute noodles for the next month

This is such a civilized way of getting tickets, unlike 97. Our phone didn't stop ringing. I sure people think supporter groups have an endless supply of tickets under their beds. I wish
