Revenge for Winmar?

Post: # 653159Post Otiman »

At the risk of turning St. Kilda into AFL's retirement villiage, I quite like the idea of picking up Scott West. He is keen to play and should be fit if he gets a full preseason into him.

Also would be bittersweet revenge for the Dogs getting Winmar to finish his career there.

Great idea guys

With all these great ideas hopefully with a full pre season under his belt Jack Barker will be able to add some depth to our midfield...

Absolutely not. Way past his best. One year, maybe two at best if he can get his body right at all. Just too far past it to even merit consideration.

i'd consider cousins, but not west.

his body's just not up to it.

been a champion and how the bulldogs have handled his exit is a pox on their club. they should have told him months ago he was not going to be a part of their plans.

i'm so glad that harvs went on his own terms and with his dignity intact.

It used to be a retirement village for former Carlton and Hawthorn players.

Westy is great, but no thanks.

Crazy idea. Agree with Frawley's comments in the Age today that Saints shouldn't try and get to the GF by topping up with short term players, like he did with the Tigers in 2001.

We may need to admit we peaked in 2004 and start rebuilding or face Richmond's fate of the past 7 years!!

More more old gits!!

One Club player - he may be hurting and seething at the same time, but I couldn't see him pulling on the boots for anyone else.

How on earth would that be revenge?

Our stupid club (at the time), delisted Nicky, after acknowledging in The Saint, that he was in our best players in 16 of 24 games we played that year.

We all know Nicky was no angel, but the club still shafted one of the best players we have ever had.

Not just at the end of his career either.
