He can't get a game at Hawthorn. How long is he contracted for because he's the kind of bloke I'd love to get to St.Kilda.

He was playing some great footy there last year, but can't break into a forward line that has Buddy, Roughead, Williams and Rioli.

He takes a good grab, is a good kick and could rotate through the ruck.

I Rate Boyle highly and he should be looked at for sure.Could be one of the additional forward targets we need next year to finially give Riewoldt a much needed chop out and make us less bloody predictable.

Hawthorn would want a 2nd round pick for him...

I would give up a 3rd rounder for him, but not a 2nd and obviously not a first.

I bet you the Bulldogs trade their 2nd rounder for him...

A downside is he's 25 by the time round 1 comes along next year...

better to invest in youth...

Even if he was any good, why would anyone want to deal with Hawthorn. Everyone knows how morally bankrupt they are. Remember them demanding (and getting) 2 x first round picks for Jonathon Hay and keeping quiet on all the associated problems with him? !!

Who cares they got the best deal they could get... it was on North to do their research...

Boyle was playing good footy but the players that Hawks usually trade have a very low success rate at another club... But we need another foil for Roo

the dogs would be wasting a pick again on a medium type player...

it would be like adding a younger welsh...he might kick 50 but he will downhill ski and its not entirely his fault without a strong bodied forward either

Instead of going after Boyle, we should look at rookie-ing of drafting late
Todd Grima, former rookie listed player with Geelong.

Is only 21, is a full forward and finished 3rd in 2007 VFL goal-kicking...doing well in SANFL and surely will get drafted this year...has a big physical presence (ie not in the charlie Gardiner mould)...

Boyle has some talent but his body is stuffed. It's not worth recruiting him at the expense of an 18 year old KPP who could actually solve our problem, rather than covering it up for a year or two.

Key forwards who are good enough for the AFL are not delisted. He's obviously lacking something and we'd be wasting our time.

Michael Rix could come third in the VFL goalkicking if he played FF all year.

Would much rather trade for Mitch Thorp or Beau Dowler from the Hawks ... both young and very talented key forwards ...

Much more of a future with those two than with Boyle.

No thanks. All we would be getting is another Charlie Gardiner, Good for 1 goal per game. We would be much better off picking up a young forward in the draft.

Followed his progress in the VFL the last 5 or 6 rounds of the year. He did nothing for the last 5, but the final match he kicked a bag of 8. Probably boosted his trade value with that game alone.
