Reports have him fastest at the club. Is this correct?

Is this assertion about Leigh Fisher's pace based on fact or something someone overheard in a bar after having a pint or ten?

I have read post after post on here for years stating that Fish's main problem at AFL level is that he is too slow.

Personally, I always thought he has had reasonable pace, although I never saw him as being lightning fast. But I know that it's hard to judge these things (eg, Clinton Jones looks to me as if he runs up and down on the one spot, but many others on here see him as a speedster: possibly because he has blonde hair).

I appreciate that the precisely results of sprint tests are probably something the club doesn't want to broadcast too widely, but it would sure be interesting to hear some facts.

Ahem..he won a 3km time trial. last time I watched the Olympics the "fastest men on Earth" ran over 100m 8-)

All we can ascertain from this is Fish has good endurance. Many AFL players will run that distance in a quarter..but raraly wearing runners and all in the one direction

I saw him over the weekend and he looks much leaner than before.

I know he would be fit. he did the tour de france straight after the real one or the same track to get his hammies back on track after he tore both of them...

His fitness would be sensational, but his speed is lacking

Hope he has lost his P plates and can now drive at the same speed as the rest of the traffic.

If he was the fastest sprinter at the club, then we have big problems next year.

Over 3km i can understand. Pretty good effort as R.Eddy usually towels everyone over long distance.

For those interested here is the link with times (found it on big footy).

But try not to look at the photo of Harv's.

Pretty good effort by those 3.

i like how some people saw this as an assertion, rather than question,.

question answered - he won a 3km time trial - he's not the quickest

cheers
