Thanks for the trining update and the pictures. 8-)
Fantastic to here Jack Barker at training and the young players introducing themselves. Hopefully they have been told of the contribution the barker family has made to our club. :D

How old are you, homework?... and are your family Saints supporters?

If they're not, it doesn't matter. You are, and you seem genuinely interested in your club. Which is good enough. :D
Don't be afraid to ask such questions. It's the only way you'll learn about the St.K.F.C's rich history.

St Fid was kind enough to give you the answer.
Jack Barker is Trevor Barker's Dad. The Saints' Best & Fairest Medal is the 'Trevor Barker' award. Jack is an icon around the club; and one of the nicest gentlemen you could hope to meet in a day's march.

So don't hold back in asking anything you want to know about the Saints.

Someone here will give you an honest answer.

GO SAINTS!!

No disrespect intended, but I think you'll find all of that is covered on the previous page, and in this instance Homework is making a funny.

maybe add questions to the Jack Barker thread- so this one can stay about training
:)

some info on Trev and his dad may be an option for the Saints history under saintsational web section.

Do it, clarky449... There are alot of us here who were fortunate enough to see him play; and would be happy to share or memories.
It's great to know that younger supporters are interested in the club's history.

In many ways, the St.Kilda Football Club exists today because of Barks' loyalty.

CJ looks like Judd compared to Tom.
Tom and a Trainer were 25m apart and the trainer said "kick it to me" it went about 2m above his head and 10m past him...horrible kick. but as they just did chip kicks to each other it slowly got better but still a very poor kick, can barely drop punt, it just flops off the side of his boot and sometimes hits the hands of the trainer.

Well, guess you'd expect that from a fresho off the plane Irishman who'd never played AFL before. I guess its easy to underestimate the amount of work a lot of clubs put into these guys, also how depressing being an elite sportsman at home must be, when you find you've got to start again as soon as you arrive here.

i think to many people have jumped got on the band wagon, over his kicking, it improved out of sight this year, and i think he will keep working on it. weve got a few players, that arent great kicks. doesnt mean there not good players. lots of players have to kick under pressure, most will kick bad.
