Nice subtle hint. yes he was drafted from Carlton.

And in answer to your question, do you raise your arms in triumph every time you go through the supermarket checkout?

What year did St Kilda play Richmond in a pre-season match at North Hobart Oval?

it was the first footy match I ever attended but can't seem to find any info on it, and can't remember the year.
Feb 15th 1998 and the after match was at the Vista Hotel and then ontoo the last Drop Saloon

hope that helps

Like Fergus Watts, he already had links to the club before he was drafted.

No, but Houlihan didn't come from another club.

Jacob Anstey quit footy at the age of about 20 and to the best of my knowledge never played again at any level.

Went to basketball I think like his famous brother.

I went to school with his cousin, shame he gave it up as he had a bit of talent.

OK I'll invoke the "one week" clause and go with the first question for 2009.

Who was awarded a Brownlow medal in 1989 ?

A guess?

Verdun Howell retrospectively for his 'countback second'?

MrM - not the full answer.
But well done for seeing through the "trick" in my question.
