Plumtire's admission in another thread that his purple jocks nearly cost us the game got me wondering what other idiosyncrasies we all have that help the boys to win each week?
First of all there's the StKilda earrings and shoes.
Also, my crew make sure to take along furry friends chocolate bars, to be eaten only if it looks like we're in trouble. When we are a few goals down or look like we're in trouble out come the furry friends to be eaten while we watch as the tide turns and we gain control of the game again. Well, that's the theory, anyway.
I used to wear my old footy socks to all the games after we one a couple of games when I had them on- they got retired after the 97 grandfinal. I think i am more sensible now and other than having my coffee from an old saints mug from the 1980s on game days have tried to rely on the team instead of good luck charms.
Throughout the entire match I stand up on my seat and hop 6 times on my left, then twice on my right continously for the entire match. Whilst doing this I have to count to 100, 132 times a quarter aloud,or we will lose

Better watch out SaintDebi, your choccies might be out of date soon
I stopped believing in superstitions since the 97 GF.
On the morning of the game, I was getting dressed prior to heading to the MCG.
I put on a pair of yellow undies accidently (I never wore undies that make up part of the opposititions colours)
Realising my mistake, I promptly took them off & replaced them with a black pair. Satisfied that I'd saved the day after almost ruining it
....Fat lot of good that little manouvre did.
