Results going Saints way....
Hawks lose..
Blues lose
PA lose...
So the results in the main have gone our way to provide a nice little break in the ladder.
Just need the Saints to do their bit and knock off the Pies though.
The ladder at the end of this Round is going to look quite stunning with most teams on 12 points!!!

That was because the crowd was around half the size you would expect.OLB wrote:Mate had a spare membership so I was at Etihad tonight.
Roos almost snatched defeat from the jaws of victory there.
On level two and I could seriously hear the footballers barking instructions to each other it was so quiet.
Roos only won because Salopek and K.Cornes shoulders gave way half-way through the 4th. Cornes because of a stupid bump.

North did lose, big time.
Crowd was officialy less than 15,000. (14,342 to be precise).
That will cost them a big bucket of money.
Playing interstate clubs is killing Victorian clubs that have to pay Jihad Stadium's terrorists to play there.
It may become necessary to play interstate clubs at a neutral interstate venue - Tasmania, Gold Coast, Canberra, Darwin etc just to ensure the matches do not generate loses - money that is.

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

With our amazing % we're effectively 3 games clear already.
I notice now that geelong have poked their noses in front they are getting the accolades and headlines like 'purrfect' are being written.
I think I'd like it to stay that way, and for the expectations on them to mount and mount, so it's considered theirs to lose... then hopefully on the big day (if we make it) at some stage they'll fear losing more than they'll want to win, and they'll choke....
Then in 2010 they'll be branded as chokers, and we can do it all again!

I said that about our % in 2004 and a mate of mine pointed out if we started losing it could drop quickly. He was right and we missed a top 2 spot because of it. We need to keep winning and if we get to 16 wins % will not have a bearing.markp wrote:With our amazing % we're effectively 3 games clear already.

Yup, indeed... I'm all for us keeping on winning, I just wouldn't mind if geelong finished first and held the spotlight and the weight of expectations.plugger66 wrote:I said that about our % in 2004 and a mate of mine pointed out if we started losing it could drop quickly.
