Where is his allegiance now?

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

Banger was down here Thursday of last week.
He would be happy that we won. He'll be back with us in a couple of years if he has his way.

I was watching him before the match, he spent a good 5 minutes just watching us, maybe he missed playing with us

If he felt one once of happiness, then he shouldn't be at Carlton IMO.

How do you think SOS felt?

How would you WANT him to feel?

Harves was out on the ground before the game

was was seeming to get support from one of the other assistants as he watched the Saints warm up-- or the other guy was asking for advice.

didn't come out during the 1/4 and 3/4
but seen in the box on tv

would have to have mixed emotions

BUT you can see some of his moves in the young blues.

as well ad the young saint- blind turns and short precise passes.

Don't care how he feels to be perfectly honest. When/if he comes back to St Kilda, then I will care. Until then, he is the enemy. His history with our clubs means nothing when he is at an opposition club.

In other words, Harvey who..??

Retirement 'was the right choice'
June 13, 2009

FORMER St Kilda champion Robert Harvey says the timing was right for him to retire from the AFL, even though the Saints will give this year's premiership a big shake.

After playing 21 seasons for the Saints, Harvey is a development coach with Carlton and having both clubs play last night was a "strange" experience for him.

But he said the improvement of St Kilda's younger players this season had convinced him he was right to bow out last year after 383 games for the Saints.

"At nearly 38 I was pretty much done," he told the pre-game function. "To see how the young guys are running around now and how (Jarryn) Geary and even Farren Ray coming over from the Dogs has fit into the side, it has definitely been the right time for me to move on."

Sort of a win win situation for him last night. Either way his side won!

Um, the fact that he isn't welcomed down to Carlton because he "ratted" the scum out with their payments over the salary cap would say a bit in how he felt about the game!!

I think he would have loved every minute of it and sticking it up a bitter bunch of arrogant f-wits that run that run and who think everything is gonna fall into place for them!!

not every former great returns to the club they so call 'love'

if harvey does it means he is sought out as a good coach, right now carlton can have him as he is untried and could be considered a waste of space and money if he proves to be a failure

better their time, space and money than ours
